It was as if turning around the corner was what caused the noises to break out behind her. Or at least that's what Mei believed as she ran away from Izuku. It wasn't that she was endangered by him, it was what he was fighting that endangered her. She didn't know what it was, but it was obviously something that made him worry for her. Which is why he ordered her to escape, so that she could get to safety...But that wasn't exactly what she was going to do. She wanted, no, needed to get some sort of communications open between everyone fighting here. Which is why her first idea was to find some hero to go around with her as she delivered an earpiece like device to everyone on the battlefield she was thrown in...that's if they were alive.

It was also by pure chance that she happened upon one of Izuku's friends when she turned the corner, although they were far away. It was because of her quirk that she could see them in such detail that you'd believe they were standing in front of you. But the sandy blond wasn't, he was about sixty meters away and currently running to the burning building. She knew that it was Katsuki, but she didn't know what he was running towards...not until she noticed the smoke rising into the sky, covering it in a shroud of filth and ash. By now she was running, whether if it was to him or to see what was burning she didn't know. Although her curious side was what usually brought her to make rash decisions like this. She reached down and pressed a button on her ankle that was under her baggy pants. A metallic click sounded out before she started to zoom across the dirt ground, the sound of a tank's tracks continuously moving were coming from her shoes. Within a few moments she met up with Izuku's friend.

But she didn't care about Katsuki, instead it was how the entire front side of the school was ablaze. Her heart sank as she knew that the school was ruined, perhaos even beyond repair. And it was because of how fast the fire was moving. It seemed to be too fast for a normal kind of fire, seeing as it was quickly spreading from where she assumed to be the origin point. Based upon the scorch marks at the base of the building, and how parts of it were already crumbling, she assumed that the fire was started at the base. It also had to be some sort of quirk seeing as no normal fire could spread this fast; however, it could be blue if there was a large amount of copper chloride added to it. She was lost in her own world and had just noticed that she was heading away from Katsuki at this point, so she turned back towards him and began to follow him.

"Bakugou!" She called out, slowing down to his speed when she got next to him, "why are you running towards the fire?!" The amount of wind blowing past her ears was dampening her hearing, making his words barely intelligible. "Give me a second," she held the briefcase, she was holding, up and opened it. Inside were about 20 earpieces with speakers, there obviously were more under the first layer of machinery. She took one out and gave it to him, then took out another and placed it into her own ear. She gestured for him to do the same as they ran alongside the building. "Can you hear me?" She asked, her eardrum was nearly blown out by the amount of profanity he cursed at her. "I-I'll take that as a 'yeah.' Why are you trying to run into the school? It's going to burn down y'know," her voice travelled directly into his ear through the device, which was a telltale sign that some of her inventions worked.

"I don't fucking care! Ochako was in there and I don't know if she got out! So I'm going to try and find her, even if I die because of it!" He explained to the pink haired mechanic, from what she had known about him he was not the selfless kind. He always seemed self-centered whenever Izuku explained him, and he was even more so the few times they met in person. But she understood that he truly cared for Ochako, it was even more obvious that he loved her even if they tried to keep it a secret. When they turned another corner Katsuki began to blast the air behind him even faster, faster than Mei could go without breaking the babies in her shoes. It was because of the girl they were just speaking of, her skin was stained with ash and soot. She was coughing pretty hard as she walked out from the fiery building, collapsing to the floor on her knees as she tried to empty the content of her lungs. "Ochako!"
