I let out a breath as sleep strips off of me. I slowly straighten my back as I feel my muscles ache from my position in my seat. Blinking my eyes open, I see the colorful lights of the empty streets reflect on the road. I guess we were almost back to the city.

"You're awake." I turn to the designated driver beside me whose eyes were focused on the road. He glances at me for a second and returns his gaze on the road.

"I'm sorry I fell asleep, you must've been bored driving," I say, stretching out my back as a soft yawn escapes my mouth. He only chuckles and turns to look at me again. Even in the dark, his face still looks so bright, his skin glowing.

"It's alright. You look like you enjoyed your sleep. We're roughly an hour away anyway." I nod my head, turning to the window. It was almost midnight, and the roads now were calm and quiet. There were still cars around, but it was very contrasting to the busy crowded streets of the day. A smile creeps across my face, watching the lights as we pass by them. The lights from the other vehicles added to the magic as well, it made the quiet streets far more colorful than it was in the day.

"You like night drives?" I turn to him when he asks me. When he glances at me, I nod my head. He doesn't say anything else, he just nods his head and focuses more on driving. I rest my hand on my stomach. I was so full. His aunt prepared so much food and she kept on putting food on my plate.

I must say I enjoyed it very much. It's been long since I had a hearty home-cooked meal. She even insisted we stay for the night, but we both have work in the morning. Plus, I'm not sure I'd survive the night with him in the same room as I am. Somehow, I don't trust myself when I'm alone with him. A version of myself that I can't control dominates and it terrifies me.

"I'm sorry if my aunt was a little excited. I saw how much she was trying to stuff you with so much food."

I chuckle. It's been a while since I felt such a thing. Warmth. Caring. Maternal.

"It's alright. At least no one threw a punch at me." We both share a short laugh. I look over to him, my eyes on the corner of his lips. The bruise wasn't there anymore and the wound lookedl= like it had already totally disappeared. I'm glad it didn't scar.

The drive took another hour or so, but I wasn't bored or tired. We were both silent, but it wasn't awkward. It was a silence made comfortable. A few points we would talk, share a laugh, and then return to the comfort of the silence we shared.

"Thank you, for today," I say as he pulls over in front of my condo tower. He turns to me and smiles.

"Thank you as well, for coming." I bite my lip and nod. I watch him as he gets out and runs over to my side to open the door. When I get out, I smile at him.

"Bye." He leans over and presses a quick kiss on my temple, his hand on my back. He gently ushers me to the door. Before I get in, I turn to look back at him and wave my hand as he drives away. When I can no longer see his car, I let out a sigh. Why am I suddenly bothered? I huff out a breath and shake my head, walking towards the elevator doors.

A few days later, I'm in his car again.

I've grown accustomed to his car since the few times I've ridden here. I knew he had a multitude of cars. Sometimes he drove a Maserati, sometimes a Benz, but I noticed he liked to take his Aston Martin out more.

"Are you sure it's alright with you to come?" I ask Nadech for the third time ever since he picked me up from my condo. Today is Margie's birthday and we're on our way to her house fo her dinner party.

I was surprised it didn't need too much convincing for Nadech to say yes. I'm sure Margie isn't going to have it if I didn't take him with me.

To be honest, I'm a bit worried about this party of hers. I don't think she's thrown a 'chill' party ever. Especially now that her children were sent to her parents' house. In short words, she was a free woman tonight.
