It was good to see her dressed and smiling he had to admit. He was surprised to see there was dinner on the table complete with dim lights, candles and soft music playing. This is a complete 180 from the person he saw just this morning. She wasn't wearing any make up, her face was pale she'd been wearing the same pajamas for days. Her hair was a mess and she barely spoke two words to him.
"Wow Bey."
She flashed him another smile.
"You look really good" he complimented."Thank you baby. Sit down, don't worry it's all takeout" her cooking skill wouldn't allow her to be able to make such a meal and she could tell he was curious where the food came from but didn't want to be rude.
He chuckled and sat down at the table. They engaged in small talk as they enjoyed the food.
"That was good I was starving" Jay said.
"Glad you enjoyed it."
I'm, I'm so in love with you
Al Green's Let's Stay Together started to play from the sound system. Beyoncé grabbed the remote and turned up the volume. She reached out her hand for her husband to grab.
"Dance with me!"
He obliged, they did a little two step holding each other close for the entire song.
They shared a lingering kiss. She took his hand again leading them to their bedroom. He could sense where this was heading but decided against objecting for now. They sat on the bed sharing another long kiss. Beyoncé's hand that was resting on his leg was making its way up to his lap. Still he said nothing. When her hands found their destination she began rubbing up and down. Now he was distracted. Before Jay knew it they were both half naked.
"Bey.." Jay finally found the will to interject. She ignored him.
"Bey-baby" he said again faintly.
Again she ignored him.
He pulled away from her causing her to look up.
She huffed "Why you pulling away?"
"What are you doing?" At this point she was only wearing panties and he wasn't a dumb man so, she was confused by his question.
"You're a smart man, Jay you can figure it out."
"I don't think we should.."
"Why not?" She asked not wanting to be told no right now.
"Bey it hasn't even been two weeks the doctor said we'd have to wait at least that long."
"I know what the doctor said" she replied with an attitude.
"Cmon Bey I don't mean to upset you, I just don't think it's a good idea didn't you say you were still having symptoms just yesterday?"
Her heart sank. It was true though she suffered a miscarriage she still was having pregnancy symptoms, which only made her more depressed. Her body was betraying her even further than it'd already had, and right now she just wanted to be in control of something.
"I'm in no rush, when it's safe to try again we can try again, I want you to be ready first all of you" he assured her.
She wasn't sure if she was crying because of her husbands sweet words or the frustration, sadness and anger she was feeling, hell maybe it was all the above.
"I'm just tired of the tests the poking and prodding and still no answers from the doctors."
This wasn't their first miscarriage so the doctors ran plenty of tests this time around. Nothing conclusive has come back yet.
"I know baby" he hugged her tight.
"What if it never happens for us?" She asked between sobs.
"Don't think like that.. even if we can't have a baby naturally there's other ways we can discuss if need be. I know you're gonna be a great mother Bey, no matter when that happens" he told her honestly.I try to reach for you, I
Can almost feel you you're nearly here
