chapter 4

As I walked towards the main part of the restaurant, trying not to scream at mide who called my name continuously, i saw the manager of the restaurant coming towards me.

"Excuse me, can i see your boss"

"You can talk to me ma'am, any issue"

"I repeat, can you just call the boss for me cause i obviously don't want to have this conversation with you"

"Please ma'am, that won't be possible"

"Oh, interesting"

I know what to do, a bad review from me on popular blogs and twitter would be enough to get him out of that office, to think that our orders were already confirmed before the dinner and they still had the time to mix up my food.

"You know what, you guys will be hearing from my lawyer soon enough" i know that sounds dramatic but it definitely made him feel that i was really going to ruin their reputation, "goodbye" i said while dragging mide along before she says something and ruins everything.

"Ma'am, please follow me" the manager called me, we finally walked away from the dinner house towards long corridors, different kind of sounds from different angles, figured that this was the same route to their kitchens.

We finally got into a large waiting room, the manager went into the office while I sat on the long chair, mide stood at the look and if looks could kill i would be underground already but i really don't care.

" Why are we even here?" Mide asked, standing in front of me, "let's just go and enjoy my party" she continued, pleading with her eyes.

This is what i don't like, when she tries to make me feel like a bad person.

"Mide, you can go back to the table"

"I will make complaints later, let's just go together" mide replied trying to drag me out of the waiting room.

At that moment, the manager finally walked out the door, looking frustrated but i honestly don't care.

"You can go in" he said to me, walking out of the room.

I wasn't bothered about his attitude, most people end up in the hospital because of little mistakes like that and I'm not going to back down.

"Let's go in mide"

As we walked into the large office, the whole black and white interior of the room got my attention, the boss must have a good taste.

"What are you doing here?" I asked suprised to see him, what on earth will I say without i looking stupid or childish.

"This is my restaurant and my manager told me you continuously requested to see the owner"

"Well, i would get straight to the point"

"I'm listening"

"Listening to what, so the manager stayed for long in this office but couldn't tell you the problem" i replied him, looking at his face before walking towards the door.

"Calm down mikun" mide called me back, trying to cool down the situation.

"He reported the situation to me but i just wanted to hear your own part of the story" he replied, almost laughing when nothing was funny about the situation

"To be honest, i don't even know why i wanted to see management"

"Right, i told you" mide replied, rolling her eyes at me

"Really, let's make a deal" he said looking at me, i wondered what he was up to again

" What if i decide to be your delivery guy for two weeks, bring free food to your doorstep every morning and night"he said, I looked at him to be sure he wasn't talking to someone else.

" Interesting" mide replied excitedly.

" Mide please let me know when you're done with him" i looked at him for a second before walking out the door.

To be honest, i really don't know what trigged the whole i need to see the management when i could have seen the manager and gotten over it.

I'm not gonna lie, i feel stupid but it's better that i still didn't accept his offer.

As I walked back into the dinner house, other guests were still eating their meal like nothing happened earlier.

"Hope you're feeling better now" mide's brother asked as I sat down.

"Guy, why didn't you run after me if you cared" I replied, ignoring him while unlocking my phone to text mide before someone tapped my back.

"Who's it again" I groaned, tired of talking to people already.

" Can you calm down, it's me" mide said, sitting down beside me.

"I thought you were going to sleep there" I replied, not looking at her.

"Well, i wasn't going to leave there when you left a bad idea of yourself"

"So, please just enjoy your party "

"Definitely, i will be right back"

I was glad that mide finally left me to entertain other guests, most of the people on the table knew themselves and it seems like my idea of a little chit chat wasn't going to be accomplished.

Hi guys, sorry about the late update🙏🙏.

So who's this mystery guy? Probably an ex or old friend, we will find out shortly.

I actually lost interest in writting it, decided to read more books instead.

A certain angel posted on my board some days ago, this gave the energy to rethink and update sooner.
