The City of Aarya, the great and only city of humans, was full of peace and prosperity. High walls towered and encircled the city, protecting the inside and keeping things out. Vegetation and cattle were plenty, and waters never ceased. Mines rich in ores, and rocks that glow, and with this they made machinery. And through machinery they were able to conduct electricity. Soon, they advanced even faster by creating a device that could allow them to control the elements of the world. They called these devices, 'Quinke', (Pronounced 'Queen' - 'Key'). They controlled the elements by will and by desire. If your desire is of evil descent, then the elements will turn on you. But you'd think that, if there was power then there was war. No. There were no wars, no not against themselves, but against those who were different than them. Beasts, they would call them. They were those who were animals that exhibited human-like properties. The beasts were only after the secrets of their inventions, and the power of the elements. They didn't want peace, and the humans understood that so they vowed to hurt any beast would dare seek entrance into their city.

But that was, until a tortoise did something that the humans didn't expect him to do. He saved their King.

It was the start of winter and the humans' young prince then, was only a few days to becoming King. His coronation was scheduled in spring, but due to his father's declining health, it was moved to the middle of winter. The young prince was nervous, for he felt like he wasn't ready. So, during the preparation of the coronation, the prince managed to slip away. Outside the walls, rested a pink cherry tree, but in the winter, it's leaves glowed bright, floating to the ground slowly. It was a breath-taking sight, and that was where the prince went to clear his mind.

He sat at the base of the tree, a book in hand. It was quite cold, but not enough for the man to freeze to death. He stayed for what felt like an eternity in peace, but that was ruined by the distant rumbling of the ground, and the wind's change in direction and mood. The sky was dark, so he couldn't see as well as he could in the day, but the rumbling continued...and it sounded a bit closer now? He looked up to see snow...it was moving towards him at high speed...could that be...oh no...it was an avalanche! He had to warn the city! With that he, equipped his Quinke and made a dash for the city, with the help of the element air.

He glided through the air, battling against the rough winds of the avalanche. Nearing the city's high walls, he yelled out to the men who were guarding and patrolling, "AVALANCHE! IT'S NEARBY! RAISE THE BARRIER!", the guards were shocked to see the young prince who was supposed to be inside flying about, but they instantly went to follow his orders. "YES SIR!" "My Liege, we will take it from here. Please, get to the castle. My guards shall escort you.", the guard captain bowed. "No. I want to assist too.", and with that the prince flew near the incoming disaster, ignoring the calls of the guards. "M-My Prince! Come back! It is too dangerous!" But to no avail.
