Lucia's POV:

It was finally the end of the day, which had passed by painfully slow. As much as I hated my advanced courses and the horrendous amount of work they gave us, I knew it I had to do it to get into a good college. Even with my rigorous coursework, I had to take easy elective classes, that were supposed to be my 'easy' classes.

One such class being french, and as much as I love the teacher and she loves me, it was my last class of the day. The burnout I experience by the end of the day is intense, and leaves me sleepy in french class. I had a few friends, but most of my time in class was spent sleeping. It was ironic how I was president of french club but slept in my french class. My teacher didn't mind because I always finished my work before napping, and I didn't make any noise.

Of course I needed naps in french because I would stay at school until 6pm, whether it was club meetings or tutoring sessions, it was a daily routine. Though it was easy for me to drift into sleep, there were annoying kids in this 'easy' class. Me and my friends were considered the 'smart' kids, since we always did our work and got good grades on the tests, which were surprisingly hard. These kids were the ones that smoked in the bathroom and cursed in every sentence, laughing loud and talking every chance they could get.

My teacher was too nice to say anything, so she let them off the hook. They sat near me since we had our seats picked for us, which I didn't appreciate in the least bit, their loud voices preventing me from taking my daily naps.

I was obviously pissed today, as I was not looking forward to my English tutoring session. I'm only going for extra credit, and hopefully she gives me feedback on our recent project. I just needed this one nap, but their loudness disturbed me to no end.

I don't like confrontation and don't normally talk to people I'm not comfortable with, but if I have to, I will. I looked at the leader of the annoying kids, hoseok, who caught my eye. He smirked and grinned. "Hey,can you keep it down please? You can talk all you want tomorrow, I just forgot my headphones today so I can't sleep without hearing your talking."

He laughed out loud,"Sorry for disturbing your sleep, Lucia. Listen,I'll keep it down if you let me copy your workbook, I forgot to do it and it's too hard to do by myself." He pouted. I looked at the teacher to see if she caught that, but she was engrossed in a book and had earphones on, after all, we were supposed to be doing individual workbook studies.

I sighed, taking out my workbook, "Just leave it on my desk when you finish. Don't get caught." He smiled widely and took hold of it, shushing his group and showing them the workbook and they all got to work, weirdly enough. I thanked god that they were finally quiet and drifted off to sleep.

I felt someone poke my arm, waking me up from my deep slumber. Half-lidded, I smiled up at my friends, jin and sophia. "Are you going to english tutoring?" Sophia asked me, as I rubbed my eyes and grabbed my bag, walking out the classroom. "Yeah, I need the extra cred to help boost that B I got on last week's quiz."I said, yawning and stretching out."It's ok, the whole class had an average of a B." Jin said as we arrived to the classroom.

I walked in and scanned the rowdy classroom for my friends. Taehyung, namjoon, jade, and alina waved me over towards the back, along with jin and sophia. I smiled widely, walking towards them. As I entered the classroom still grinning widely, I saw him. My grin was wiped by my face and replaced with a blank stare. I looked away as I heard his friends crack a random joke, and I faced my friends, sitting down at my usual seat and greeted them.

The teacher left us 15 minutes at the end of the tutoring session to ask for feedback on our recent projects. I stood in line with taehyung and namjoon as we had finished our projects, while our friends were at their seats finishing up final details. I was chatting with them about an exam in advanced bio that I think I failed, earning a laugh from namjoon.

I had to staple my papers because it was a big stack, the only problem was that the stapler was on the top shelf, and I was too short to reach it. I stood on my tip toes and jumped, still not able to get it. Taehyung chuckled behind me, grabbing it for me, as I smiled sheepishly at the gesture. He patted my head, "You're so short." I laughed, punching his arm softly."Stopp, you don't have to tease me about it all the time." I pouted. Namjoon chuckled and pinched my cheeks,"At times like these, you don't look 17, you look 12."

I turned my head away as we approached the front closely. "Hmph." I crossed my arms, going to look back at alina and sophia, but a burning gaze found my eyes, almost seeming like he was annoyed for some reason. What's his problem? I then found sophia and alina, smiling brightly at them and waving.

After giving me feedback and critiques, I went back to my seat and gathered my things, hugging my friends goodbye so I could set off to my car. Taehyung caught up behind me, yelling in the process when we exited the building, "You could've waited, you know." I chuckled at the frown he displayed, "Tae you know I'm joking, I'll always wait."

I waved bye to him as I got into my car, driving off to home, where a pile of homework sat waiting for me.

~next morning~

I woke up early as always, this time dressing in my favorite yellow and blue oversized sweatshirt and mom jeans, spraying perfume when I finished getting ready. "Hey, Lulu!" My mom yelled from the kitchen. I picked up a granola bar, "Yes?" She set some food in my dog's food bowl and looked to me, "Your dad was fixing our car yesterday and decided to take a look at yours, and he found something wrong. It's not starting and neither is ours, so he's going to take both to the repair shop today. I called Seongmi and she said that she's going to pick you up for extra credit classes and that she can drive you to school and drop you off after school, it'll only be for a few days."

I widened my eyes, "I could just ask bella to pick me up, mom. And my car was working just fine yesterday." My mom shook her head, "bella lives farther away and we don't want to burden her. At least you know seongmi and she lives near us, so it won't be too much trouble." I grumbled, still unsure but I was half awake so I complied. "Now go on, they're probably outside." My mom said.

I locked the door behind me, yawning. At least it was Mrs.jeon picking me up, and not him. I noticed the car, but couldn't see clearly because my eyes were droopy with sleep. I got in the front seat, "Hi Mrs.jeon, thanks for the ride and I'm really-", I stopped as a pair of familiar eyes stared at me and smiled slightly. "My mom sent me because she didn't want to wake up early." I looked away as we drove off. "Oh. Thanks for the ride, anyways." He hummed in response, while I looked out the window to avoid the awkward atmosphere.

It was going to be a long few days.
