Ride or dies

Lucia's POV:

We finally got to the morning class, surprisingly being a minute early, when he usually was the last one to walk in. I shrugged my shoulders and approached bella and sammy, taking my usual seat, their brows furrowed at me walking in with jungkook. Right when they were about to ask, the class started.

I sighed,getting out of the chair, almost in a hurry to avoid their burning questions. Bella spoke up when I was about to grab my bag, "You are so texting me what happened, I need to know." I forced a smile, "I'll text later,k?" I waved at them both and went to drop off my daily work. I headed to his car and he unlocked it as I entered first. We stayed silent the whole ride, reaching my neighborhood quickly. Opening the door and mumbling a 'thank you' he stopped me and asked, "Wait, I'll come pick you up at 7:30,ok? and my mom said you needed a ride back home."

I chewed my lips thinking it over fast, "Um, yeah I guess. see you later then." I nodded and entered my house and breathed out, not noticing I was holding my breath the entire time. I couldn't even take my daily morning nap from all the thoughts swirling in my head.

7:30 hit too quickly, as I grabbed my bag and headed out, entering his white car. We headed to school in awkward silence as always, just this time I brought my earphones. I again mumbled a 'thank you' and almost ran to the pavillion, tired of the awkward morning I had. Reaching my friends table, namjoon, alina,sophia, and jade, were already seated. Bella and sammy were always late, and taehyung was late this morning as well. I sighed, sitting next to alina, and put my head down. "What's up? Did you stay up finishing the student council proposal for the meeting?"

I put my hand on my left cheek, visibly tired. "I can't even go to my meetings for the next few days. I'll just turn in the proposal and have namjoon update me on everything I missed. And I'll tell you all at lunch." The bell rang on cue as we all dispersed to our respective classes.

I liked to be touchy and affectionate with my close friends, and we would often be mistaken as 'more than friends', whether it be with taehyung or alina, or even sophia and jade. The girls knew my personality since elementary besides bella and sammy, who joined our group in middle school. I walked to my first class while alina grabbed my hand and dragged me to our first block, my lazy ass didn't want to enter but I begrudgingly took a seat at my usual desk, next to alina and taehyung.

Weirdly enough, the class was bursting with energy, since the teacher had passed out our project grades. I was polite with strangers, I didn't like being rude just because I didn't know them, but I didn't consider them friends. The teacher passed my grade as I grinned widely, my high A made me happy. Alina and Tae had gotten the same grade as me, and were both energetically discussing the prompt. Jimin, one of the popular guys and was jungkook's best friend,yelled from across the class, "LUCIA,WHAT DID YOU GET?" I looked up at him, nose scrunching at his loud voice, but understandable because the class was loud as it was and you couldn't hear anything.

"AN A PLUS. YOU?" I softly yelled back, my voice incapable of being too loud. He gave me a thumbs up and shouted, "A C PLUS!" I looked shocked at him and burst out laughing, his friends laughing at his proud face. He looked at me intently, but taehyung poked my shoulder and smiled his boxy smile, "I can't believe tomorrow's friday, I just want to go home. Are you going to the football game?" I nodded, exhaling and putting my stuff away and waiting for the bell. "You know I have to because of dance team, right alina?" She nodded in response, "I don't even know why I joined. I hate those football games with a passion." I agreed as the bell rang and we all walked out.

The lunch bell rang as I walked out from history with jade,sophia, and alina. We sat at the usual table, bringing out my lunch of rice and chicken. I started eating when the rest took their seats, and namjoon hesitantly looked at me, "So why aren't you going to the student council meeting? You know we were supposed to go over formal proposals." I set my spoon down and sipped my water, "Joon, I told you I'd give you the proposal, and can you tell me what they go over? Please?" He sighed, raising his brow, waiting for me to respond to his other question.

"Ok so, yesterday my dad's car and my car wouldn't start so they told Mrs.jeon to give me rides until it was fixed, which will be for a few days. Anyways, turns out, mrs.jeon isn't the one that is giving me the rides, it was him. And since he doesn't stay after school for clubs besides tutoring, I would feel bad making him wait for me to finish up my meetings, seeing as how late they can go on." They all knew who I referred to, after all, they were my best friends. Jin choked on his food as sophia patted his back, and alina and namjoon just stared at me in shock. Bella and sammy just smirked at me, "I knew it. I knew it when I saw you walk in with him in morning class." Bella said, taking a bite of her bread. Taehyung laughed, "Wow, who thought you'd have to get rides from him. You could've told me, I'm fine with taking you home." I shook my head, getting up to throw my trash and sitting back down, "Tae, you live farther away from me, it's too much trouble. My mother would kill me if she found out and I'd feel bad." Jade hugged me, "I know it won't be pleasant, but update us if there's any development in your relationship." I blushed unknowingly, burying my face in my hands as my friends laughed at her words.

I woke up from my daily french nap, jin and sophia laughing at my droopy eyelids and sleepy voice. I slept well because I had brought my earphones, and hoseok's incessant talking was drowned out by my peaceful music. I went out to the parking lot, about to go to my parking space, when I forgot he would be driving me back home. I saw his white car nearby and walked slowly, eyes still heavy from my nap.

I entered the car and muttered a 'hey', while waiting for him to drive out onto the main road. he shifted uncomfortably and burst out,"Are you going to the football game?" I nodded sleepily, "I have to, I'm on the dance team." He gave a small 'Oh' and drifted into silence. There was more traffic than usual and I found myself going back to sleep, because of the all nighter I pulled for the student council proposal.

I felt something warm cover me as I snuggled in my sleep, still unaware of my surroundings and slept peacefully. He muttered, "She can really sleep anywhere, can she.."

I woke up as the sunset, rubbing my eyes and looking at my phone for the time. Jungkook was scrolling through his phone when he noticed I was awake, my eyes still widened in surprise at the time, reading 7pm. He stuttered, "I-I didn't want to wake you up, you seemed really tired and all..." I nodded in response, smiling a small smile at him. I looked at him directly who was still mumbling things incoherently. "Thanks for not waking me up, and thanks for the ride. I'll see you tomorrow." I got out of the car and gave him a small wave as I finally entered my house. Closing the front door, I slid down and hit my forehead. You idiot. You fell asleep in his car?! what if I snored or drooled or did something embarrassing. I've really done it now, UGH.
