Chapter 7

Derrick stared at me wide eyed while Molly just sat there smiling. Connected? What is she talking about? Derrick seems to know what it means.

"Molly. That isn't possible. It never happens. We can't be connected, your mistaken right?" Derrick said

Ouch.

"Nope, no mistake. I've never seen it, but before my dad...well my dad just taught me about it. Your aura's glow brighter when your close, and that's a sign to it happening. Another is you guys being drawn to each other, don't you guys both feel it? And it will only get worse! Isn't that great!? It also explains how she saw your vision when you first met. When something big happens, like you guys first seeing each other, you guys can connect to each others powers. You connected to hers too. I wish I knew what it was.." Molly said

"Why can I feel what shes feeling?" Derrick said

"That happens in some rare cases!" Molly said and giggled.

After a moment, I spoke up.

"I have no idea what any of you are talking about." I said

"Has anything ever happened to you? Anything you couldn't explain?" Derrick asked

I thought about everything that has happened these past couple of weeks. Well, besides my parents dieing, thinking I saw a man outside my house the night they died, and seeing what can only be explained as ghosts, everything is normal Derrick. 

"I've seen the ghost of my parents." I mumbled and bit my lip

"Huh?" they both said

"Well, I've seen-think I've seen the ghost of my parents. But thats not possible right?" I said a little louder.

Molly squinted her eyes at me, like she was trying to think. 

"Lilly, you are going to have to come with me. We have to go to my fathers library. Oh, and Derrick, Leo has been eavesdropping and has already told everyone your connected, just thought you should know." Molly said

I saw Derricks jaw clench and he stormed out of the room. 

"Leo's in trouble." Molly said and giggled.

She then grabbed my hand and led me out of the door. The hallway right outside of the door was large and beautiful. I have seen very little of the house yet I can already tell its huge. While we were walking down the hall I could hear people yelling. 

"Derrick, Molly is mistaken! Don't listen to her. She cant just show up out of no where and automatically have powers. Its not a coincidence. Someone sent her here.  " I heard Hali yell. 

"Yeah, she was sent her by The Lab to get close to us and then take samples. No Hali. The Lab doesn't exsist anymore. We have nothing to worry about. And Lilly...  Right when I saw her, I knew there was something. I can feel the pull, and its gotten worse. I can feel what she feels. Like right now I can tell shes confused as hell and completely innocent. When I'm around her..." Derrick trailed off

What is The Lab and why is everyone afraid of it?

Everyone started talking at once and Derrick started trying at calm everyone down. I realised that Molly and I had stopped walking. We had arrived as a big dark oak door with an ancient looking door knob. Molly grabbed it and pulled open the door to reveal a dark study with about five book shelves all stuffed with old looking books. In the corner of the room there was a large desk with a big leather chair behind it.
