   Y/N'S POV

Two hours. For two hours, I had been looking around Blüdhaven for Damian, but no luck. So, when Cassandra showed up, I was beyond grateful to have help. Even though Damian and I mainly argued, I loved him like a little brother.

As Cass and I jumped from building to building, Cass said,"Y/N, we'll find him."

  I said,"Thanks, Cass."

Cass and I landed in front of the last possible place that Damian could have been at. Cass and I looked at one another before she nodded to me, and we both headed inside. Shots went off in every direction, and Cass and I got to work immediately.
As I took out every guy that came my way, I looked around for any sign of Damian. However, I noticed a door that was wide open. Could it be that easy, or was it a trap? Just in case, I got Cass' attention. We quickly took out everyone in the room, and I tied the guys all up to leave for the BPD.

With that handled, Cass and I walked over to the door, and then she followed behind me down the stairs. I heard crying, and I recognized that cry. Damian. I had only heard him cry once or twice before, but I kept it between Damian and me.

I rushed towards him, yet he yelled,"Y/N?!!"

Cass and I quickened our pace, and I wanted to cry just looking at Damian.

Damian asked,"Cain, Y/N, how did you find me?"

I answered,"We got lucky. We looked everywhere else in Blüdhaven, literally."

I pulled out a knife from my back pocket before I cut Damian free.

Damian leaned on Cass for support, and I said to Damian,"I'm sorry that we didn't get here sooner."

Damian told me,"Y/N, your father was the one who left me down here."

I sighed before I said,"Dick said that he had a feeling that this was tied to my father, and he was right. Did my father also beat you, too?"

Damian nodded, and Cass said,"Y/N, we need to get out of here."

I picked up Damian, and then I rushed him out of the building. Cass and I met Batman outside, whom Cass had contacted while I was talking to Damian to keep him conscious.

After Batman left with Damian, Cass asked me,"What are you going to do, Y/N?"

I paced back and forth as I answered,"I don't know. First, Dad escapes from prison with someone else's help. Then, he shows up at my house. Now, he's somewhere with Dick, and I really hope that Dick keeps his promise. I know how my father is, and then my father goes after Damian. Cass, my father's gotten smarter over the years. What if all of this is only leading up to him getting rid of me? What if he blames me for why he keeps ending up in prison, and he's punishing me by going after the people that I care about?"

Cass' eyes widened, and she said,"It makes sense, Y/N."

I stopped pacing back and forth before Nightwing landed in front of us.

  Nightwing said,"Cass..."

  Cass said,"Dick..."

Nightwing looked at me, and I said,"My father's going to kill me, eventually."

Nightwing replied,"That won't happen. That's why I'm here. He told me something along those lines. You need to come with me."

I didn't even argue with Nightwing, and Cass said,"You two go now. I'll stay at Wayne Manor and make sure that everyone stays safe."

I hugged Cass as I said,"Thanks, Cain. Stay safe, okay? I'm not worried about you because it's you, but just stay safe anyway."

Cass hugged me back as she said,"I will. Go."

I walked over to Nightwing before I wrapped my arms around his neck. Then, he quickly made his way away from Blüdhaven.

I asked him,"Grayson, where are we going?"

Nightwing kissed my forehead before he answered,"To your mother's place."

I said immediately,"No! My father was talking about going to see her."

Nightwing said,"Your mother knows that we're coming, and Zucco won't find her. Someone let her know that he had help getting out of prison."

I smiled as I said,"You wouldn't happen to be that "someone," would you?"

Nightwing shook his head before he said,"No."

I chuckled before I waited until we made it to wherever my mother had rushed off to to get away from my father. When Nightwing set me down on the ground, he took my hand, leading me to a pretty-looking house.
He knocked on the front door, and my mother opened the door. She smiled so big at seeing me, and then she pulled Nightwing and me inside. She made sure that she locked the door behind us, and then she hugged us both.

Mom asked me,"Y/N, dear, are you all right?"

I answered,"Yes, thanks for asking. What about you?"

Mom looked between Nightwing and me as she answered,"I'm all right. I'm glad to see you two together still. You two are still together, right, despite what's happening?"

I put my hand on Nightwing's shoulder as I answered,"I'm glad that you're all right. And yes, Dick and I are still together."

Mom nodded, and Dick talked to her. I just sat in the living room as I tried to process the fact that I was possibly running out of time.

Mom sat down beside me a couple of minutes later before she held my chin as she said,"Honey, you're going to be all right. This is the last place that your father would ever come to. There's nothing to be afraid of. You have so much ahead of you, and I'm sorry that we don't keep in touch as much as we used to."

I held her arms as I said,"Mom, thank you. That makes me feel a lot better. Don't apologize for not keeping in touch as much, though. That's on me, really. I'll do better, not just because my father's coming for me."

Mom hugged me before she talked to me for some time until she fell asleep. I laid her down, and then I wrapped a blanket around her. I walked over to Dick, and he held out his hand.

I put my hand in his hand as I said to him,"I appreciate you reaching out to my mother like you did. Most likely, it saved her, literally."

Dick kissed my hand before he led me up to the spare room.

  He said,"You're welcome."

I chuckled before I asked him,"Did you bring me up here just to say that?"

Dick pulled me close as he answered,"No. You're in here because your father's outside."

My eyes widened, and I said,"What? Grayson, we have to make sure that mom's-"

Dick kept giving me kisses, yet he said to me,"Y/N, look. Just look."

He led me over to the window, and I saw my father outside. However, Batman was keeping him from going anywhere.

Dick wrapped his arms around me as he said,"With the help of Lucius, Bruce and Jason were able to find your father and keep him from coming near you or your mother. I told you that your father wasn't going to kill you."

I leaned back into Dick as I asked him,"Were you tempted to see my father after Bruce and Jason found him?"

Dick answered,"Yes, I was, but I wanted to know where you were, too."

"Aww, Grayson. You're so cute. Well, it means a lot to me that you were still worried about me. I can't imagine what all has gone through your head recently. Hopefully, it's over."

Dick looked down at me, but then he leaned down, resting his forehead against mine as he said,"Hopefully, Y/N. I'm tired."

I ran my fingers through his hair as I said,"I'm tired, too, Grayson. I really hope that he doesn't get out again."
