Father Drama Part 3

3 MONTHS LATER...

   DICK'S POV

  Eventually, I got around to explaining everything to Naomi about Bruce, Tim, Jason, Damian, Alfred, and me. Naomi was very confused at first, but then she grew so excited, realizing that she was related to some of the best heroes ever!
  Nothing could replace that feeling of knowing that your daughter actually wanted you around, even after you had failed to be there for her for some years. Naomi really needed a father, so this was something that I had to make sure that I wouldn't fail ever again. 

  I leaned on the door as I watched Y/N give Naomi her toys, so she wouldn't be bored in the bathtub.

  Naomi noticed me before she yelled,"DADDY?!! YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO SEE ME!!"

  I chuckled before I walked out of the bathroom. Then, I sat down on the bed.

  I heard Y/N say to Naomi,"He's so weird, right? Why would Daddy do something like that?"

  I just smiled. Naomi giggled before Y/N walked out of the bathroom, sitting down in my lap.

  I rubbed her back as I asked her,"Were you talking about me just then?"

  Y/N leaned on my shoulder as she answered,"I always spread lies about you. Don't act hurt now, Grayson."

  I just held Y/N for what felt like the longest time before she asked me,"Do you have to go to Blüdhaven today?"

  I shook my head before I answered,"No, not unless I'm needed there. Baby, I'm not just going to leave you and Naomi and not come back at all. Yeah, I know."

  Y/N intertwined her fingers with my own, then she said,"I know how busy you get, Dick, and I wouldn't want anything to come between us. I already lost you once, and I tried so hard to move on, but I regret it so much. I always missed you on the inside, even though I was a complete jerk to you sometimes. I'm truly sorry, Dick. I just want to be a family. You, Naomi, and me."

  I brought our hands up to my face, but then I smiled at Y/N as I said,"It took a lot for you to say that to me, I know, but I forgive you. I was wrong, too, for not stepping up or believing you about Naomi. I want all of us to be a family, too. Maybe we should go to the fair?"

  Y/N pecked my lips before she said,"That would be great, Nightwing. You're already ready, so you pack snacks and drinks. I'll get Naomi and myself ready. And Dick?"

  Y/N got off my lap, and I stood up. 

  Then, I hmmed in response, and Y/N said,"I love you."

  I smirked as I replied,"I love you, too, Ms. L/N."

  Y/N blushed. Then, she headed into the bathroom before I jogged downstairs, doing what Y/N had told me to do.

   Y/N'S POV

  When I headed back into the bathroom, Naomi handed me one of her toys before she asked me,"Mommy, when are you going to get married?"

  I blushed at Naomi's question, but Naomi whined as I splashed her with a little bit of water.

  I let out Naomi's water, yet I handed her a towel as I answered,"That's a good question, Naomi, but your father might have an answer for you, though."

  Naomi smiled as I pulled her out of the bathtub. Next, I handed her her clothes, and she asked me,"Where are we going?"

  I smiled before I answered,"To the fair. I promise that you'll like it, Naomi. Come on."

  Naomi got dressed, and I did, too. However, someone knocked on the door. 

  Naomi yelled,"WHO IS IT?!!"

  The voice said lowly,"You know who it is."

  Naomi and I giggled, and then Dick walked in. However, I noticed that he had put a backpack around his shoulders.
  Naomi ran to him before she hugged him. Then, Dick picked her up before he held her. Eventually, Dick held out his hand for me. I put mine in his before he led Naomi and I to the fair.

   AT THE FAIR...

  I laughed at how serious Naomi was about trying to win one of those huge bears.

  When she couldn't make the target, in order to win the bear, Naomi frowned, and Dick said,"Hey, don't get all upset. Obviously, it just cannot handle your massive strength. Let your father try it out."

  Naomi ran to me, yet Dick hit the target every time, and Naomi whined as she said,"Daddy can do it, but I can't. IS THAT FOR ME?!!"

  Dick handed the bear to Naomi, who fell because the bear clearly had some height and weight on little Naomi.
  Dick chuckled before he helped her up while I held the bear for Naomi. Next, we went on the merry-go-round, which I could tell was Naomi's favorite.

  Those things always made me dizzy, but I made sure that I had chosen the best-looking horse to ride on.

  Dick chuckled, but Naomi said,"Mommy, just get on one."

  I rolled my eyes and got on one before Dick whispered to me,"Hey, baby..."

  I continued to watch Naomi lean on her horse while I answered,"Yeah, Wing?"

  I felt Dick rest his hand on my back, and he whispered into my ear,"Will you marry me?"

  I thought that I was hearing things until I turned, and Dick was indeed down on one knee. He had a box with a beautiful ring inside.

  Tears formed in my eyes, and I jumped off my horse. 

  Then, I attacked Dick with kisses as I answered,"Yes. I will marry you."

  Dick slid the ring on my finger before he pulled me in for a kiss. I kissed back, but Naomi cheered as she hugged my legs.

  I pulled away from the kiss, but I started to feel sick as I said,"Can we get off this now? I might throw up on you if we go around this thing one more time."

  Dick chuckled before he nodded. Then, he led Naomi and me off the ride. Seconds later, I smiled down at Naomi, who smiled back at me, knowing that we were actually going to become a real family. A real family with Nightwing in it was the whole deal.
