Hi.
This isn't gonna be fancy words and poems. Just words from my heart.
I know I didn't know about you until today Leelah. But I'm sorry. I'm sorry that we live in a society so shitty, a place so crude where people can't be who they want to be. Where people can't feel what they want to feel, where people can't be accepted. Where people are discriminated, and not treated as humans.
I'm sorry for our crappy society.
And I know these words are useless, because they can't bring you back to life. No matter how much I want you breathing, you never will be. I'm sorry.
But to anyone reading this, I just want to say, transgenders are humans too. They have emotions. They deserve the same love, the same respect, the same equality that all of us deserve. They aren’t different from us.
Rest in peace Leelah Alcorn. <3
And to all the trangenders out there, I don’t think your wrong. Not at all. And I love you too.
