CHAPTER:2
(Mavis's pov)
Just one more hour and I can go home. The store closes at 5 so I am looking at the clock again and again.
"Thanks Mrs. Jackson we'll take care of your fish" Martha said to the customer as she waved away.
"me take the tank for cleaning" she ordered me and I walked up to her to pick it up. "And be careful it's heavy"
"Don't worry" I said to her and picked up the tank. "It can't be as heavy as you" I muttered under my breath and started to walk backwards.
"See?" I said to her with a 'told you so' expression as I continued walking carelessly and right then luck left me to die. A boy rushed in to the store and I bumped in to him, the fish tank went flying in to the air leaving me and him to fall.
Splash
Ugh curses luck. And to make things worse I'm wet now. The tank was plastic so I did not harm any one. I looked at the boy who had slightly long hair and blue eyes now all wet. Oh god the fish I got up cupping the fish in to my hands and dropping it in to the nearest tank. And once again lucks not back yet, the tank held eels in it. Doomed. Funny thing why do we even keep eels
"FIRED" Martha screamed and then spelled it out for me "F_I_R_E_D fired I tell you"
Ugh it's not my fault. I was filled with anger not at the boy for bumping in to me but at Martha for taking everything too seriously and firing me for a little accident. Everybody makes mistakes its not like the worlds perfect. I could feel my face red with anger. I clenched my meth together.
"Fine" I said to her with a bitchy attitude. "Go to hell" I said throwing the apron at her face and walking out. It was raining heavily. I pulled up my hood, put in my earplugs and turned my I-pod on shuffle as I continued to walk down the street when my phone buzzed. And I stopped to check it.
To Me:
Sorry but I can't pay my half of the
rent this month hope you don't mind.
From Kim.
Fudge. I hate her. This is the fifth time she's doing this to me and she doesn't even return me my money it's not like she's my best friend you know.
"Can this day get any worse?" I said out loud not caring who hears me. Then some crazy driver drove fast over the puddle next to me making the water splash on me. "Spoke too soon" the driver stopped a little further ahead. Oh he's so gonna get it. Three boys got out of the car and walked towards me.
"Hey" a boy called from behind me and I noticed he's the same one who got me fired.
"You!" I said surprised at how he looked now. His hair were dirtier than before a lot like he ran his hand through them a few times.
"Yeah I'm sorry I got you fired today" he said apologetically
"Totally not your fault" I said nicely I wasn't mad at him at all. "I had no idea why I worked there anyway."
"Nice to know I don't get to know stuff like that you know" he said reaching out his hand "by the way I'm Louis. Louis Tomlinson"
"Mavis. Mavis Whyte." I replied shaking his hand with a big smile on my face. It wasn't actually a greeting smile more of a reply to the one on his face to show him that I can beat him at smiling. And guess what I did it.
"I am really sorry" someone said from behind me and I had totally forgotten about the three boys. I turned around and saw a curly haired boy with green eyes apologizing. "I did not mean it" he talked funny. You know like he speaks really slow so it makes the words look sexy. He leaned to his left to look behind me and then he had an angry face on. It looked like he knew Louis.
