Chapter 5

One Week Later

Lily's POV

I'm supposed to go back to school tomorrow seeing as spring break is over. Me and Jackson haven't really talked about me going back to school yet.

As I walked downstairs into the living room I see Antonio and Keith sitting on the couch arguing about what to watch.

"I WANT TO WATCH SPONGEBOB!!!!!" Antonio yells.

"And I want to watch the latest episode of American Ninja Warrior." Keith calmly replies. Keith is more of a quiet type of dude that says what he wants with minimum effort at trying to do so. On the other hand, Antonio. He is a really big extrovert he doesn't have a care in the world, and he likes to yell.

I clear my throat when they quiet down deciding that Keith could watch the latest episode of American Ninja Warrior and after Antonio could watch Spongebob.

"Do either of you know where Jackson is?" I ask after gaining their attention.

"He should be in his office right now. Why is anything wrong?" Keith asks.

"No not really. I go back to school tomorrow and we haven't really talked about what we are going to do yet."

"Ok just make sure you knock before you go busting in their. He might be in the middle of something important."

"Ok."

"Hey Lils when you get through with whatever you are doing, do you wanna watch Spongebob with me?" Antonio asked excitedly.

"Sure I don't see why not." I relpied while shrugging.

After that I walked off to Jackson's office.

When I got to his office door it was opened just a little and it sounded like he was on the phone. So I opened the door a little more and peeped my head in while knocking. He looked up and when he saw me he smiled and gestured me to come in.

I had to wait a couple of minutes before he was done on the phone. I didn't understand any of it because it sounded like he was talking in a foreign language.

"What do I owe the pleasure for your visit today?" He asked kindly.

"Ummm...We need to talk." I said feeling nervous. I always hated confrontation.

"What is their that we need to talk about?" He asked.

"I go back to school tomorrow and we havent decided what we are gonna do so that I don't break any of the rules." I said quietly while fiddling with my thumbs.

He paused for a moment thinking of what to do and say. "I have thought about it a little bit. Honestly I thought it would be safer to have you homeschooled, but I also knew you would refuse and want to go back to school. With that in mind I decided to assign a couple of the girls to join you at school everyday. The principal and the teachers know about this arrangment so you don't have to worry about that. Also I will drive you to school and pick you up after school."

I thought this over for a moment. I was perfectly fine with these arrangements and that's what I told him. "I am perfectly fine with these arrangements but when am I gonna meet these 'girls'?" I ask.

"Tonight at dinner. I think."

"Ok!!" I reply excitedly and I then dash off to watch Spongebob with Antonio.

Later that Day

I guess me and Antonio fell asleep at some point because I was resting my head on his lap and his head was laying against the back of the couch.
