I felt like I finally had some type of control of my life and what was happening.
Eden had given me the run down and actually trained me the first two days. It was all pretty simple and easy to learn. He left early in the morning to downtown.
At the end of the day when all the customers and staff left I stayed late and began to close up. It somewhat felt nice, I never had a job like this before. I earned all the money me and my sister needed by fighting every other weekend. It felt more of a hobby or sport than an actual job.
In the middle of the day a gnome from the mushroom garden came in and was rambling about his travels, and that this cafe was one of his many pitstops.
I was trying to come up with a plan the entire day. I managed to get that gnome to draw a map for me of the Fey land since he claimed he traveled all of it and knew it well.
So I'm currently mapping out the best path to take.
Tiara ran towards a different town, I know it. The one next to this one I'm pretty sure. It isn't that far but it's quite the distance.
Busy scanning the paper written map I didn't notice Eden walk in through the double glass doors. The small jingle echoing from the front.
"How was your third day of working at the Luka Light Cafe sweetheart?" He ask, startling me.
"Good." I quickly fold up the map and grab a rag.
"What were you doing?" He questions as he sits down on a hanging basket chair.
"Nothing, closing up." I wipe down the few tables left and put up their chairs.
Not noticing him come up from behind me and snatch the paper from my back pocket. He's slick.
"Give me that!" I try to reach up for it but his tall height gives him an advantage.
I punch him in his stomach, he flinches and winces but doesn't drop down like I thought he would.
"What is this?" He hold it open above his head and opens it. "A map? For what?"
"For me." I try to snatch it out his grasp but his reflexes are faster than mine.
He pushes me away and I stumble back while I become surrounded by walls, again. This time they're not brick, it's transparent and I have a clear view of the fae.
My map that was once in his hands dissappear from his hold right before my eyes.
I stare at him in fury while he smirks at me."What's wrong princess?"
"Illusion, magick." I whisper and scan his frame while he smiles; giving me my answer.
"What do you need a map for?" He ask but it sounds more like a statement.
"I told you, I'm not from this side of the kingdom. I need a map."
"And where in particular are you heading?"
"None of your concern Eden."
"Then you can stay in there." He says as he walks around the box towards the wooden staircase that I haven't made time to go up yet.
"Let me out!" I bang on the wall.
"You in you're cube is none of my concern."
"Eden!" I yell.
