Let's get to it shall we

Raquels POV.

The night was dark and the moon was out. Not a single star in sight, the only star that shone so bright was me.

And they all knew it.

Dubai and it's people was always kind to me when I visited. I got out of my car and they were there in front of me as always awaiting my arrival.

As I approached the entrance of the discrete location the diamonds on my dress kissed the moonlight and both women and men gazed in amazement. They whispered amongst themselves as usual while I walked towards the brand new cars they had created for me.

No matter what I did eyes followed me wherever I went. If they weren't the eyes of my fathers men they were eyes of the men who wished they could claim me as theirs. In their eyes I was a trophy to be acquired.

I smiled at some of them as my heels cliques against the tiles. I was led to the top of the building and as I gazed at the newly made cars below me my breath was taken away.

Fast cars are probably the only thing I love on earth, I buy myself fast cars just so I can drive them real slow.

I smiled to myself as I saw my reflection in the shiny glass of the sleek cars that were before me.

My father says I have the heart and mindset of a smart business man, to be more specific a mind like his.

Cunning and Smart.

I agree.

Meanwhile my mother says I have no heart.

That isn't a lie either.

It isn't easy being the disappointment of the family, but here I am about to be the richest of them all.

So who's the real disappointment?

I'll tell you, Incase you haven't figured it out. It's not me.

I am the eldest of my family. Raquel Volkov.

According to my mother If I was a Man I'd be just fine  with my way of life. I think she hoped that I would be a saint like her. Instead I became the worst version of my father.

I turn twenty three this year. So it's about time my father pulled me aside and told me to take over the family business. Just like his father did years ago.

I remember when I found out my father wasn't a pilot who didn't fly from country to country for fun, turns out he was an affluent drug lord who travelled the world for fun while his men did all the dirty work. My father is practically invisible. No matter how hard you tried to find him it was impossible.

Why wouldn't I emulate that?

Aside from my family's business I own multiple clothing lines and I'm the owner of major oil company's, in school I graduated top of my class. I studied medicine just not only please my parents, but once upon a time I planned to be a surgeon until I realized it want for the right reasons.

The only thing that would separate me from a real surgeon was the fact that they got into the field to save lives. I just studied it because it was fascinating learning all the ways I could either kill a threat to my life. I always knew I would go into my fathers profession, I'm not a skilled fighter so in the face of danger I needed to know how to protect myself.
