The New Hunter

   The group was sitting and chatting at the Canteen. "Oh man I'm so nervous... The Commander sent me on a mission to fight a Jyuratodus." Phoenix told Benjamin. "You'll be fine Phoenix, we believe in you!" Handler told him. "Yeah friendship!" Jay raised his mug in the air, accidentally spilling some of his drink on Serra. Serra mewed, "Hey!" "Sorry..." Jay apologized. The Tobi-Kadachi just scratched his head with his hind leg and yawned. "I doubt he's listening..." Xavier meowed. "He never does..." Joseph smiled. "Don't worry, he does that with everyone." Serra reassured Phoenix while drying herself off.

   "H-Hello." Everyone looked to see were the voice came from. The was a beautiful female hunter standing there. Her hair was a nice blonde color. She was wearing a full set of Kulu-Ya-Ku armor and she had a Kadachi Strikebow on her back. "Umm... I was told to go find Jay and Joseph. A-Are you them?" She asked. Joseph stood up, "Yup that's us. I'm guessing that you're the new hunter that we were told to train?" She nodded, "Yes, my name is Eleanor." Handler waved at Eleanor, "Hi Eleanor, I'm the Handler!" Eleanor smiled and waved back. Xavier and Serra said hello as well, "Hello, Eleanor!" "Oh right, this is Serra and Xavier, our palicos. Serra is my palico."

   "Aww they're cute. I gave a palico too! Come on out, Jude." Eleanor looked behind her. A palico wearing Tobi-Kadachi armor shyly walked out from behind Eleanor. "H-Hi everyone..." He purred timidly. Serra ran over and shook Jude's paw. "Meow!" Serra cheered. Jude laughed nervously. "Howdy, I'm Phoenix! And the Tobi-Kadachi is Benjamin." Phoenix introduced himself and Benjamin. "Huh, talking monsters?" Eleanor was confused. "You'll get used to it." Joseph told her. Eleanor looked over at Jay, who had a slight blush on his face. "Hello, Jay." Jay was snapped out of his thoughts, "Oh? Umm hi! Hehe..." Eleanor giggled which made Jay's heart speed up. He looked away trying to hide his face. Joseph noticed this and he smirked.

   "So, what's the first thing?" Eleanor asked Joseph. Joseph thought for a second, "I know we'll go to the training area near our room. I want to see how good you are with your bow and then maybe we'll hunt in the Ancient Forest." "Ok, sounds good." Eleanor nodded. Phoenix started to walk away, "Alright, I'm going to complete my mission. Stay safe, guys!" Everyone waved goodbye to Phoenix. "Grr..." Benjamin growled. "What's the meowtter, Benjamin?" Xavier asked. "I don't like rookies..." He said coldly before going away. Eleanor's smile went away. "I'm sorry about him. Benjamin can be a bit mean sometimes." Handler apologized. Eleanor forgave her, "It's ok, I understand."

   "Well Handler, do you want to guide them to the training area?" Joseph questioned. "Oh course I'll do it!" Handler lead Eleanor and Jude to the training room. "Ooh, let us go too!" Serra chased after them with Xavier. Now it was just the two brothers. Joseph sat next to Jay and elbowed his arm. "Someone has a new crush." Joseph chuckled. Jay face became red, "Not me, no way!" "Aw c'mon don't deny it." Joseph teased. "Shut up, Joseph. I don't have a crush on Eleanor." Jay crossed his arms. Joseph put his arm over Jay's shoulder and started singing, "It's love at first sight~" "No it's nooooot!!!" Jay whined.

   "Fine I'll leave you alone, for now." Joseph snickered. Jay growled and covered his face. "Let's go to the training area." Joseph pat Jay's shoulder and got up. "Fine, I'm getting up. Stupid Joseph..." Jay whispered the last part to himself. He walked behind Joseph with the blush still on his face.
