————————————It was early in the morning. You sipped your hot coffee as you read the book Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. You wrote down your thoughts in the margins and highlighted quotes you liked. Your glasses rested on the table as you read. It was only you in the cafe, you could hear the process of coffee being made by the baristas. The loud roar of cars that came by and the laughing conversation between people walking by. It was nice you were in your own bubble.
There was a ring as the door opened. So immersed in your book you didn't bother to look up. It was probably someone getting a smoothie after a morning run.
"I'll take an iced matcha latte please." You hear the voice say. It was surprisingly deep. You take a peek from the safety of your book and see a y'all skinny boy or man whatever he is. From the side he was pretty cute. In his hand was a book. You couldn't make out the cover so you put your glasses back on. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
"Thanks." He said as the barista handed him his drink. His backs still to you he sat down took a sip of his drink then opened his book.
You were captivated by him. You haven't seen his whole face yet. But the fact that he reads is what interested you. You stared for another minute then went back to your book.
"Er—uhm. Excuse me?" There it was again. The deep voice.
You looked up from your book and see the boy with the matcha green tea his hand and a book in the other. He was really cute. His sharp facial features and glasses made him look like an anime character.
"I couldn't help but notice that you were reading." He said smiling as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Hi. Oh! Yeah it's the translation of the Russian Classic Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. It's really good." You said smiling at him.
"It's a really big book! I'm guessing 800 pages?" He asked.
You flipped to the end to check the page number. "Yeah! You're right."
There was an awkward silence. You looked around the room.
"What is your book about?" You asked.
"It's about a woman name Louisa Clarke who gets a job to take care of a paralyzed man named Will. They have now started to become friends. I'm still half way through." He said showing you his bookmark.
Again it was awkwardly silent.
"Would you like to sit down?" You motions to the seat informing of you.
"Sure! Thank you, it's gets kinda lonely when I come here. So it's nice now that there's someone reading here too."
"What's your name?"
"I'm Jeon Wonwoo." He reaches over for you to shake his hand. Blood rushed up to your cheeks. "And yours?"
"I'm Y/N." You gave him a smile.
You both went back to reading. After getting tired, you both talked about anything and everything. It was nice to see his smile when something was interesting to him. Coffee after coffee there was this bond between the two of you. He for sure felt it.
"Excuse me. Ma'am, sir. We're about to close." A barista said.
"Oh okay." Wonwoo got up and gathered his things. You did the same. He held the door open for you as you both exited the cafe.
"Hey. Listen, that was really fun. Wanna do this again some other time?" His cheeks flushed red.
"Sure! Here's my number." You quickly got a napkin from your pocket write it down then handed it to him.
He grabbed the paper, fingers lightly brushing against each other. "Thanks! I'll call you some time." He waved to you as he walk away.
You turned to head to your place.
"Holy shit!" You said under your breath. You held your book tighter as you skip-walked back home.

It would be awesome to meet someone at a cafe and then become friends. Especially if it were Wonwoo or any of the Seventeen members.
