Vernon was always so chill when he was with you and basically with everyone else. But these past couple of months he developed a crush on you. It all started when he introduced you to the guys. Joshua was so sweet to you that it made him a little jealous. Never realizing those feelings towards you before, a crush was all new to him.

Right now he was with you and Joshua at the mall shopping. He originally wanted it to be you and him but since Joshua has suddenly become your new 'buddy' he tagged along.

It was basically a date. Vernon was the third wheel. You and Vernon were in a department store looking at mugs. While Joshua went looking for clothes.

"Should I get this one for him?" You asked holding a mug with a teddy bear on it.

"Him?" Vernon questioned.

"Joshua, silly," you said continuing to look at mugs. "Oh! Maybe a scarf!"

"I don't know, he likes mugs and scarves."
Vernon said before walking away. You made a snooty face imitating his attitude.

"What is with him?" You mumbled. You glanced over to see Vernon sitting on a bench scrolling through Instagram. You shrugged. Maybe he was just in a mood, after all he has to come up with some lyrics for Seventeen's future comeback, that was probably it.

As you continued to look Vernon watched you with sad eyes. He knew that you liked Joshua more than him. Getting up he went for a walk around the mall. As he walked up to the second floor there was a music store. Curiosity took over and he went in. There were records and cassette tapes of new and old albums.

Back at the department store you looked over to where Vernon was sitting to see that he was gone. After lying for your items you went to go look for him. He wasn't on the first floor so you used the escalator to the second.

"The music store..."

You walked all the way across the mall to the music store. He was most likely there. As you entered there, earbuds in, he was listening to some music. Slowly bobbing his head to the beat. You tapped him on the shoulder and he looked over.

"I was looking for—"

"Here listen to this." He said putting the other earbud in your ear. It was a beautiful jazz song. You smiled listening to it. Suddenly Vernon brought you closer to his chest. He held you there rocking back and forth to the beat of the song. Your eyes widened in shock. He doesn't normally do this kind of stuff. It was nice. You hugged him as you both slow danced in the shop. As you looked around everything started to look prettier.

Is this a crush? On Vernon? Hm... You thought.

Whatever it was you just felt like you and Vernon were the only people in the world, slow dancing to music.

"I like you," he mumbled. He rested his head on top of yours.

Head resting on his chest you said, "Me too."
