11: break up

"Why are you crying?" That has been the question on my mind for the past 10 minutes.

"I don't know what is going on" lil cried silently

"What is. Going. On.?" I asked rather slowly.

"She is the reason why," she sniffed "why we are not together anymore".

I don't understand anything anymore.

First lil followed me home today and she has been crying since we got home.

I noticed Chris has been keeping his distance with lil in school. And he has been sitting with this sexy chick in the hall.

It's been a week since exam started, a week of no movies or outings with Tiffany and the twins, a week of Lil's clinginess with me, a week of awkward silence between damian and i, a week since I last heard joe speak.

This past week was almost unbearable. I got so attached to the group that I forgot how to be alone.

"Calm down and breathe. You need rest and good meal. Hold on, I will prepare noodles for us" I tried to calm her down.

"Chris broke up with me" I gasped "he said she was better than me. He also said I was too clingy and I wasn't his type and class" she sniffed and cried out louder.

"Okay so why are you crying?" I asked

"You are asking me why I am crying" she cried louder "I loved Chris, damn I still love him and he wakes up one morning and becomes aggressive and violent"

"I still don't understand why you are crying" I insisted.

"He left me for that plain Jane, her name is Anna" she cried more.

"You need to stop crying and I know about Anna. She has class and she is popular. You are a nobody and you are not an elite neither are you from a rich home"

"Thanks for making me feel better" she frowned.

"You were clingy though. You left your house to stay with him. He is a guy and guys need space. You are not as hot as Anna. Get over him and move on"

"I love him".

"He doesn't feel the same way. Feelings are not to be reciprocated, people come and people will go. You need to be strong and embrace what life throws at you. Chris wasn't planning eternity with you. He isn't planning eternity with Anna. He won't plan it with anyone till he gets married. You should not depend on him. Rather than let his absence affect you, let your absence affect him"

"How. I mean, what do you mean" she asked.

"I will tell you later". I smiled "about the noodles. Are you in or out?".

"I am in" lil smilled.
"That's my girl" .

Damian's POV

"What happened to you?"
Chris looked confused and shocked.

I decided to plan a little party to ease exam stress.

I noticed everyone was getting bored. The party was Tiffany's idea.

Tiffany is like the mother holding this group together. Without her, the elites would have fallen apart.

This was the only chance I had. I need to know why Chris broke up with lil.

"I don't understand what you are saying?" He replied with the same confused Express.

"What is going on between you and Anna and why did you break up with lil?" I asked him.
