Dragon Flame connection (Bloom x Valtor)

Just You and Me

Authors note: AHHHHHHHH WRITERS BLOCK. I am so sorry if this took a while, my ideas have been running pretty flat lately. This takes place right almost where it left off, instead they walked back to square one where Bloom first fell. BTW they are going to have to learn to trust eachother and establish some form of friendship before any real romance happens.

Finally me and Valtor got back to the edge where I had unfortunately fell down from. I looked up and saw that it is most definitely not something easy to climb. I know both me and Valtor can fly but I was unsure whether he could do so. We scanned the area looking for any other efficient methods of getting up top. But to our dismay we were unable to come up with any other solutions.

"Okay Bloom we have two options here." Valtor began to speak

"We could either attempt to climb up this very steep wall of rocks, ice, and snow, or we could rest up and hopefully have enough energy to just fly up the next day. I think it's better for us if we wait and I can be patient enough to do so, but the question is are you patient enough my dear?"

"Valtor stop with these dumb pet names and yes I do agree with you. Not because your so smart or anything, I just reached the same conclusion without your help." I crossed my arms and let out a huff of air from my mouth, you can see the hot air from my mouth in this cold weather.

Valtor just rolled his eyes at my remark and kept speaking.

"Bloom these temperatures are dangerously low, if you aren't transformed soon you may very well freeze to death here. I am not sure what type of fate I would have but I am not willing to find out. So would you stop being such a stubborn girl and just transform already, believe it or not I don't want your death on my conscious right now." Valtor began to slowly raise his voice, but it was still under control.

"You still haven't shown me any reason to trust you, I don't know all of your intentions and what you can do to me. So SORRY if I won't trust your 'word' or promises. Maybe I might freeze but for now I can still hold out like this, this is my body and my choice Valtor. So you need to just deal with it." I shouted and then stuck out my tongue at him and turned the other way and walked away from him. I kept him in my line of sight but I was no longer maintaining eye contact with him.

For a moment he looked like he was going to explode from rage and anger because of how 'annoying' and 'childish' I was being. Well I assume that's what he was calling me in his mind. Then he looked as if he gave himself a mental pep talk and he relaxed once again, his usual cool composure was back. But hints of his anger remained.

"Bloom think rationally, your are going to freeze and become very cold soon. It will take longer for you to warm up and if I wanted to do you harm I would've done it a while ago. You don't see me looking at you with suspicion written all over my face. I know I can't harm you because we are connected and by the looks of it, it becomes more powerful over time. Just transform even if it's just in your standard fairy form." He said quite frustrated.

Ugh I can't seem to read his intentions right now. Maybe i'll take a quick peek inside his head to see if he has any underlying intentions. No, I shouldn't plus he might notice that I did that and things would just get more awkward.

"When I get too overbearingly cold then I will transform to my standard fairy form. Until then, as I stated earlier you haven't given me any reasons to trust you besides your word. It would be dumb for me to underestimate you and let my guard down unless you show me good reason to." I spoke coldly to him and put my foot down on the floor for emphasis. I wasn't angry anymore, it had all subsided, I was being more cautious than anything.

"Fine then, if trust is what you want then I'll do my best... Starting now, I am going to approach you. Don't back away and at least let me prove to you that you can trust me, remember trust goes both ways. So don't ask of me for anything if you won't meet me halfway." Valtor began to approach me.
