Dragon Flame connection (Bloom x Valtor)

A Painful Seperation

Authors note: Wow I am so sorry this took so long for me to make, I wasn't in the best place mentally and had a lot of responsibilities that I was slacking on. But I am back and determined to try and finish writing this fic, hopefully, you guys will enjoy it.

~Third Pov. Bloom~

Bloom stood there anxiously holding onto Valtors hand like it was her life support, she could feel her heart rate pick up as she watched disbelief flood her friend's faces. She was feeling the sense of realization and dread wash over her, what she said couldn't be taken back and now she was second-guessing telling her friends so early.

"WHAT!?" Everyone single one of her friends yelled in perfect sync, a choir of disbelief that slowly tore down and broke Bloom's ideology that this could work out. That she would be able to live a life with her friends and with Valtor by her side, he was a part of her that completed her.

"Okay Valtor, what did you do to Bloom you sick wizard, we want answers now!" Stella demanded as she pointed her staff filled with solar energy at Valtor.

"Stella, stop it he didn't do anything to me." Bloom said as she rushed forward and protectively stood in front of Valtor, knowing full well that her friends wouldn't harm her.

"Bloom, I don't understand what do you mean you love him? He is the enemy, he tried to destroy all of Magix and steal all the magic in the world for himself." Flora tried to reason with Bloom as all her friends formed a semi-circle around the two.

"I know, at first I didn't trust him either, I thought that he was the same evil man who wanted all the magic for himself. But he had every chance and opportunity to kill me but he saved my life and took care of me over and over again. It's not just me but my dragon flame, my very essence is drawn to him, the connection I have with him is too special to give up." Bloom spoke feeling torn, she loved Valtor but she also loved her friends and her life at school.

"Bloom you aren't thinking straight this doesn't make any logical sense, you're like this due to the circumstances you were put in. Your brain might be a little out of it from the situation at hand, but once we get you back to Alfea safely then we can get Mrs. Faragonda to examine you." Tecna tried to reason with Bloom but when Bloom heard her friend's words they only hurt her that they weren't trusting her on this.

"Bloom please, come back with us you can't be serious about wanting to stay here with Valtor if we refuse to bring him with us. How will you even survive here, you're aware you got lucky you lasted this long without having proper shelter or a proper food source." Musa chimed in as Bloom looked back and forth at all her friends as she held onto Valtors hand even tighter than before.

Her friends continued to talk and try to reason with her but she had tuned them out as she thought internally to herself. She was second-guessing everything now and was at a standstill, her friends all had good points but they couldn't understand what she was feeling. Valtor was her soulmate, her other half and she could feel it, she could feel that void and space in her soul she had for so long vanish in his presence.

She hated feeling lonely and left out while all her other friends dated someone who they loved and cherished deeply, her situation was much more complicated but it was worth fighting for. She knew the risks she was taking but in her heart, she knew that she couldn't leave him behind, her heart would long for him and ache and she knew he felt the same.

"I'm sorry you guys but we are a package deal, I can't leave without him because he is the other half of my dragon flame. Do you have any idea how empty I felt, how something felt missing from my life and I longed to search for it." Bloom said with a shaky voice as she became teary-eyed at the thought of them trying to take her away without Valtor.

"Bloom you know we can't just leave you here, and you know we can't take him with us either, we would all get into so much trouble." Layla said outstretching a hand to Bloom as she stepped closer. "Please Bloom, we all missed you so much, you can't expect us to leave you here can you?"

"Stop with this nonsense, just hurry up and lets get out of here." Riven huffed out as he got elbowed by Musa in the side to which the two had a small quiet side argument.

"You only knew him for a couple of days, how can you say you're in love with him Bloom, it isn't realistic or logical." Tecna spoke up once again as the other fairies and boys agreed with her.

"That's where you're wrong I have known him much longer than you guys think." Bloom started but immediately got interrupted by Brandon.

"During the fight over a year ago doesn't count Bloom." Brandon snaps a little, clearly a little on edge with the whole situation.

"Well if you let me finish my sentences then maybe you would be able to understand what I meant Brandon." Bloom shot back with a sour expression on her face before calming herself down and continuing to speak.

"As I was saying I knew him for longer than you guys think, for the past year my dragon flame and his were interconnected ever since I fought him inside his flame. We've been able to telepathically speak and even feel what the other is feeling up to a certain extent. I don't know how it works but he and I have been talking for over a year now. So no it wasn't jumping the gun and thinking I am in love with him, I know I am in love with him and he is with me because I can feel it." Bloom says hoping she was able to get through to her friends finally since they seemed to ponder what she had just told them.

"Why did you never say anything sooner?" Flora asked a little bit hurt.

"To be honest I didn't know if you guys would believe me or not and there wasn't anything you guys could do about it so I didn't find a point in bringing it up." Bloom said with a shrug as her grip went back to being nice and loose around Valtors warm larger hands.

"But Bloom you know we still can't leave you here right?" Stella spoke lowering her staff as the solar energy faded from the tip of it.

"Then please just take him with us, I'll pay the consequences for my actions, I'll do anything guys." Bloom pleaded to her friends who still looked very uncertain. She could only hope they would do it for her. She could feel tears start to prick at her eyes as she tried to keep her composure.

Bloom sees Stella, Layla and Tecna whisper something into Flora's ear that made her turn a little pale as she seemed to disagree with what they were saying. Bloom was hoping they were taking into consideration what she proposed but to her dismay that wasn't what they were on about. Flora nodded at the other girls with a solemn expression as she walked over to Bloom who was smiling brightly, hope beaming in her aqua eyes.

"I'm so sorry Bloom." Flora said with a frown as she blew some dust in Bloom's face, Bloom's balance began to waver a little as she felt Valtor steady her. Her eyelids suddenly felt very heavy and she realized what had just happened. Flora had put a sleeping spell on her and they were going to take her back against her wishes. She could hear the distant sounds of Valtor's voice fading away along with her consciousness as she slowly drifted off and feel asleep.

Bloom felt a strange vibrating sensation running through her body as she began to stir awake, she opened her eyes which were still sticky with sleep. She looked around and saw she was in a bed and could hear the sounds of an engine humming, she recognized the room. It was her quarters in the red fountain ship that she would sleep in, the vibrations were clearly from flying as she felt panic wash over her.

She jumped out of her bed and sprinted out the door her bare feet slammed against the cold metal floor in her haste as she ran to the main control room where everyone was likely to be. She burst into the room with anger and hurt in her heart as all her friends turned to face her.

"How could you?!"
