Chapter 8

Maddison
Saturday morning I woke up feeling not too bad after a couple of drinks and our big night out. Zane had work tonight and I was going to meet up with Evan and go to the movies out near his place.
I rolled over and found Zane staring at me, a smile on his face and a look in his gorgeous blue eyes that I had come to know well. Without a word he pulled me to him so our bodies were touching and I could feel his hardness on me.
His eyes dropped to my lips and then back up at me and at the same time our mouths met and his tongue parted my lips and slipped into my mouth. I showered mid morning and Zane and I headed to a nearby cafe on the main road to have a lazy Saturday lunch together before I headed off to meet Evan.
I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and he had ordered a beef burger with the lot.
"We need a weekend away". Zane said reaching across the table and grabbing my hand.
"I know". I agreed nodding. It had been months since we had gone away even for a nights break.
"We should head up the coast to Hervey Bay". He suggested.
"Sounds like a plan babe". I smiled as the waitress arrived sliding my salad in front of me and Zane's burger and chips in front of him.
"Can I get you both anything else?". The young girl asked us.
"No I'm fine thanks". Zane shook his head picking up his burger in both hands and taking a bite.
"Nothing for me either.  Thankyou". I smile at her.
"You' re welcome". She returned the gesture and walked off.
" So". Zane paused for a moment and took a sip of his drink.
I looked up at him, chewing on some of my salad. Crunch crunch crunch!
" Hervey Bay?" He continued. " next month. The long weekend. Pretty sure if I am rostered on one of the boys would swap with me".
A long weekend away with Zane was definitely do able with me being the boss of the city store and a weekend away with him sounded perfect. A gorgeous resort, palm trees, beautiful swimming pools, the beach and sand, cocktails, a possible couples spa massage, delicious food and my boyfriend naked. Mmmmm what more could I want?
"Yes. Let's do it". I smiled and stuck my fork into some tomato and lettuce.
We finished lunch and then kissed as I was heading off to pick Evan up at his apartment to go to the movies and Zane was heading off
"Love you". Zane kissed me quickly. " see you after work tonight".
" I love you too babe". We hugged and then kissed again and our hands dropped from each other's as we walked in opposite directions.
Our cars were parked next to each other but I was the first to back out and when I turned and drove passed Zane, him and he car still in the parking position, I waved goodbye to him as I quickly pulled put of the car park into the upcoming traffic. Unknown to me later that night things would change dramatically for the both of us.

Evan was waiting out the front of his apartment when I pulled up. He waved and walked straight over to me hopping into the front passengers seat grinning.
"How are you Evan?". I asked him.
"Hello gorgeous". He said cheekily as he slipped his seatbelt on.
We turned out of the apartment car park and headed towards the Westfield shopping centre closest to Evan's apartment. We found a car park easily and headed towards the cinema area.
When we arrived at the cinema entrance I was shocked to see Craig standing there dressed in navy shorts and a Reebok tshirt. He looked just as surprised.
" Hi". His expression was of confusion.
"Hello". I said hesitantly.
"What are you doing here?". He asked. He looked at Evan then back at me.
" Evan said you couldn't make it to asked me to come instead". Craig replied
We both looked at his brother who had a huge smile on his face.
"Evan?". Craig said.
"I thought it would be ....nice to go together.... like old times". Evan admitted smiling.
"I can go.... ". Craig suggested.
"Why?". Evan asked.
"Because it might be abit odd the three of us going together". Craig put a hand on Evan's shoulder.
"So. You can still.. be friends" Evan said. He had a point.
"I don't have a problem with you joining us". I looked directly at Craig and I honestly didn't.
"See". Evan nodded.
"Are you sure..I?". Craig hesitated.
"It's fine Craig". I nodded reassuring him then slipped an arm through Evan's and said "let's go get our tickets".
After we bought our tickets and some popcorn Evan took a break to the toilet before the movie started leaving Craig and I alone.
"I'm so sorry". Craig said apologetically. "He honestly said you couldn't make it".
"It's fine. Honestly. We are both adults". I smiled.
When Evan came back we walked into theatre one which was the largest cinema and the three of us sat down in a row about halfway up. Evan walked into the row first then insisted on sitting next to me so I ended up being in the middle of both him and Craig which Evan had done on purpose the cheeky Buggar!

Craig
We sat down on the row Evan chose and of course my brother insisted in Maddie being in the middle. I knew what he was up to, matchmaking, but the fact was she had chosen Zane last year and that was the end of that. Sure she was still gorgeous and there was something that stirred in me still now when I saw her but she was out of bounds and totally in love with Zane.
The movie started then and I relaxed back into the seat as much as I could having our arms slightly touching on our arm rests.

When the movie finished Evan insisted he and Craig go grab something to eat for dinner,
"You too....".  He looked at me.
"Evan.I am sure she is busy with Zane" Craig said almost sternly.
"No he is going to work....Night shift". Evan replied.
"I'm happy to grab a bite to eat together". I said. "Then I do have to get home".
"There see". A huge smile spread across Evan's face
