Normal pov :
At the guild -
"Hey Mira why is it so noisy? Its usually isn't like this." Mira went to get Lucy's usual smoothie while talking to her. "Well its because of the festival.","What festival?" Lucy said thanking Mira for the smoothie. "Oooh right you don't know about it. Well it's to celebrate magnolias birth. When it finally became a city. You should go. It'll be fun it's at the center of magnolia. It starts at 8." Mira said with a smile. "Ya I think I will. ONLY IF LEVY GOES!" Lucy yelled to the bluenette sitting at the corner booth reading a book."I'LL BE THERE GIRL!" Levy yelled back then went back to continue her reading. "Well I guess I better go get ready then. See ya later Mira." Lucy said walking out of the guild back to her apartment. What they didn't know was that a certain dragon slayer was listening into their conversation.
Later that day-
Lucy's pov:
"Okay I'll see you there then Levy .........haha okay then byee.","Now then.........ughh what should I wear?" There is absolutely nothing in my closet......well actually that's a lie I do have a lot of clothes, but that's not the point. Whyyyy. I looking through everything. Ugh I give up. I sat on the ground with such I disappointed look on my face. Then something caught my site. It was pink. I crawled to go get it and pulled it out of the pile of clothes. It was beautiful. Pink but not to pink. And it had to what it looks like leafs and flowers on it with white to light pink on it."This is it. This is the one and its a yukata how cuute. Okay just gotta take a shower and put my makeup on and hair up."
At the festival -
Normal pov:
"Where the heck is bunny girl?" Gajeel said a little irritated. "She'll come just wait a little more she's just a little late." Levy said with a worried face."Well when she does come she can look for us I'm gonna go look around you can come if you want." Gajeel told her while walking away, "Wait!!.....Ughh stupid Gajeel....sorry Lucy I don't want to be alone. Please forgive me." Levy said out loud running to catch up to Gajeel.
Hour later-
Lucy's pov:
"Maaan this sucks. I'm an hour late, and now I only got 2 hours left and I'm all alone." I said to myself walking around. Wow there sure is a lot of people here I doubt that I'll find any of my guild mates. I started to walk a little more into the crowd thinking I should go back home when I smelt something delicious. It smelt soo good I couldn't resist. I walked up to a stand that had food on it. There was one item that caught my mind and it was a donut with red frosting on it. I picked it up. "That'll be 3 dollars ma'am." At the moment it just looked so good. I had to get it. I went to get my money when I noticed I didn't have my wallet. "Man just my luck." I looked back at the donut. Well good bye delicious looking food. "Gezz dummy do I always have to pay." I heard someone say I look behind me to see someone in a cat mask. Who the heck does this person think I am. Then he took the mask half off. Of course. Natsu. "Here you go." ," Thanks, please come again." I just stayed silent looking at Natsu. "Hellllooo earth to Lucy are you there."," Yes Natsu I'm here but.....why the heck do u have a cat mask on and where's Happy." I said looking over his shoulder hopefully to see Happy but with no luck. "Well Happy left me to go with Carla, that traitor, and the cat mask weeeellll I kinda did a prank on Gray." He said with a half smile. "Of course you did. Well thank you anyway Natsu.","For what?","For the donut. You want half?" I said putting the donut in front of his face. "I don't know. Smells funky and looks weird.","What!? It smells delicious. Just try it and if you don't like it then you can spit it out." Man its like talking to a child. "Well if you say so." Then he took a bite. What the hell kind of bite was that. He manly eat the whole donut. "Hey tastes good. Thanks.","Yea no problem." I said half heartedly eating the rest of it. Then I was dragged off."Hey where we going!?","To have fun duh." He said with his signature smile. Oh no. I can feel a small blush form on my cheeks and my heart race a little. Damn it why did he have to do that. I'm fully aware that I like Natsu, but I don't want to jeopardize or friendship with telling him. Of course I have that fear of being rejected I mean who doesn't but I'd rather have a friendship than nothing. Because come on it will be pretty awkward if you told your best friend that you had feelings for them and they didn't feel that way. But Natsu's right I should be having fun. For now I'll put my feelings aside.
Natsu's pov:
The fun was ending sadly. I had a great time with Luce. We went on some rides and walked around the stands. I felt my hand being tugged, "Hey Natsu come on one more thing it'll be fast and easy." I look at what Lucy is pointing at. It was one of those throw the ball,break the glass bottles, and win the prize. Yea it did look easy, why not. "Hey there little missy wanna play around.","Of course.","Well here you go sweet thing." The man said. What the hell. Maybe it wasn't anything. Pfff I'm trying not to laugh but Lucy is a terrible thrower. "Aww that's all of them and I didn't even hit one." She said sadly. I was about to go for my turn when the man spoke. "Hey cutey don't worry I'll give you another and another chance if u come over here and give a little smooch and maybe even more if you know where I'm going." Now I'm angry. I was about to say something when Lucy cut me off."Listen here you disgusting pig. No one in hell would wanna kiss you if you keep talking like that. Lets go Natsu." Well said I thought. We started walking when the guy pulled Lucy back by the hair, and I heard her cry a little."Going already. Thats ok." He whispered in her ear, " I like'em when there feisty." That's it. I pulled the guy up by his yukata and when he let go of Lucy I dropped him. "Who the hell do you think you are, doing and saying that to her!!?!!", I punched him in the face a but not to hard when I felt a hand stop my arm. I looked back to see who it was. "Natsu it's okay....it's okay." Lucy said calmly,"I-....I-......I'm-...." I was speechless then she took my hand and we ran. I didn't know where we were going at the time but we ran with Lucy leading.
Normal pov:
They both stopped in front of Lucy's apartment caching their breathes. When they finally calmed down they were silent. Nothing was said but then Natsu spoke. "Im......I'm sorry...if I scared you","Natsu you didn-","I'll get going, goodnight","Natsu wait!" Lucy yelled, but it was effortless. Natsu took off running. Lucy didn't know what to do at that point so she just went inside put on some pj's and laid in bed. Not going to sleep but thinking about what happened that day.
