Natsu's pov :
I woke up in the morning early then I usually do but depressed. Depressed about yesterday. It was going so great we were having so much fun until that guy had to do that. What was I supposed to do just stand there and do nothing. I have to make it up to Lucy. She's probably scared of me now. Damn it. I really messed up. I got up from the bed to get ready and dressed up in my usual clothes. Now what? I know I'm supposed to apologize but how.........how...........heh I know. I went to the kitchen. Maybe she'll like a hot meal for dinner. This is great. I went to open the fridge when........wow, who would have guessed. We haven't went to the grocery store in awhile and you know what that means. Just great. I sat on the table chair defeated. Defeated by having nothing to cook. I can't believe I'm going out like this. I put my hands over my head trying to think of a new plan when Happy came in. "Hey Natsu why so down?","I was going to make Lucy dinner but we have nothing to cook.","Whaaaat no food! Please tell me we have fish at least." I looked at Happy with his new watered eyes about to cry. "Yea Happy we do, but still. What about Lucy. She never wants to eat fish and that's mainly all we have." "Well how about a fish salad, or a fish sandwich or......or raw fish!!" Happy said mainly drooling on the floor. "Happy are you listening. Lucy doesn't want fish or a fish sandwich............wait.......a sandwich...Happy you genius!". Happy looked at me with a fish in his mouth dumbfoundead with a "I am" expression on his face. I got back up and looked in the fridge again to see if maybe I could at least make a sandwich for her. Bingo and my luck has been found. I wrote a note, made the sandwich, pored some juice in a glass for her, and put everything on a tray. Already walking outside I heard wings flapping by my ear. "Happy where do you think your going?", "With you of course I don't wanna be alone today. Plus Carla and Wendy are on a mission today." I was about to say no when Happy pulled some pokeys out on me. "Plus I got these.","Happy that's not fair you know those are my weakness.","If you let me come with you I'll give you a box then.","Deal!" For a moment I thought I won but the real one that won was Happy. Oh well.
At Lucy's apartment-
Natsu's pov :
"LUCY WE'RE HEERRRE!!","HAPPY NOOO!!!!" I pulled Happy back from him body slamming Lucy. "Why aren't we gonna wake her up?","Because Happy I'm just gonna leave this and she'll meet us somewhere else.",".........Why?","Come on Happy let's just go." I left everything on the windowsill leaving the window open. I was about to leave when I saw a rose bush. Maybe I should leave some roses for her. I was picked some of them when Happy came crashing into me talking about "I left him behind" and "he was already flying off". Damn. The roses were all smashed up now. Well I guess I'll just put it on her bed with her. I jumped back up and dumped them down on her. Looking at what I did. I kinda think I over did it. They were all over the place. Oh well I better just get going.
At the tree
Natsu pov :
"Where's Lucy.","I don't know. She should be coming. Hey Happy what about some of those pokeys." ,"Oh these." Happy said pulling them out and showing me them. "Yea" I said with drool coming out of my mouth. "Not yet. Lets wait until Lucy gets here.","Whaaaat! Who knows how long that'll be!!","Oh weell." Happy said flying up the tree with the pokeys. "Hey wait. Thats not fair!" I tried getting Happy but already to late. He was already gone from my reaching distance. Damn it Happy. I put my hands on my hips looking up at the tree trying to figure out how to get the pokeys when I smelt something. Vanilla and strawberry. I love smelling that scent. I turned my head to find Lucy looking at me. I couldn't say anything. She looked so cute, and she was.....blushing. I gave her a little smile. Well I guess I should go over there and apologize to her. I started walking to her but she just stood still. I came up to her face and she was looking at me with that blush still on her. "Hellllooo earth to Lucy are you there"," Wh-what. Uhh yea sorry. So what's this thing you wanted to talk about that's so important." Wow already getting to the subject. Well here goes nothing. "Sorry.","Sorry for what?","I'm sorry if I sacred you yesterday it's just nobody should do that and I got so mad when that happened and-","Natsu stop your talking to fast. Slow down.","I'm just so sorry if I scared you." Then I heard the unthinkable. Laughing. Why is she laughing? "Ahhaa....hahah...ahh......wow Natsu your really funny you know that.","Wh-What!?","Natsu. You didn't scare me and I don't think you ever will. Actually I wanted to say thanks. Thank you for protecting me." She said smiling when something dropped in front of us. I looked up to see Happy flying over us. "Well she's here so there you are." I looked down. Pokeys.........well played Happy. I picked them up and put them in my pocket for later. "Well are we gonna hang out or what? Come on." Lucy said grabbing my hand and running to the swings.
Later that day-
Lucy's pov :
"Hey what are you doing up here?","I gotta rest you guys are wearing me out." Natsu came up next to me and sat down. I started to think about today. It was great. We were just having fun today the three of us. I looked out to see the sun. It was beautiful. Then a pokey box went in front of my eye sight. "Here have one.", "Thank you." Then I saw Happy lazily go on top of Natsu's head. I couldn't help it I slightly let out a giggle. "Hey what about me Natsu?", "Here you go buddy." We were all just eating pokeys looking at everything. The city lights coming into view for the darkness would be coming soon. I guess this is the end of the day. We got up and started walking to my apartment. When we got there I stood silently for a moment then I turned around and looked at them both. "I had fun today you guys. We should definitely do this more often.", "Yea we should. How about it Natsu?" He stayed quite. Now that I noticed he's been quite since we left the park. He came up to me and gave me an unexpected hug. I didn't know what to do. I had my hands up by his chest. He was over towering me. Then I felt his breath by my neck, making its way up to my ear. My breath was picking up and warmth was making its way up to my cheeks. Then he whispered into my ear. "Only if you stop acting like a weirdo Luce." Then he turned around laughing and running away with Happy besides him. "........................IM NOT A WEIRDOOO!!!"
