Elene's pov:

Jogging through the silent streets, I felt refreshed. I loved early morning jogs. There were not many people on the street. Few cafes were open. Some people were just walking by. There was cold wind blowing. The sky looked almost orange with tinted clouds spread across.

After few minutes, I decided to end for the day

After few minutes, I decided to end for the day. It was 8am and there was a decent crowd around now. I was famished and had to even shop few groceries. I decided to stop by Claudy's cafe first. It was a must try place for pancakes as suggested by Sam. All places in Glendale were nearby. It didn't take much effort to find Claudy's cafe.

The waft of chocolate and coffee welcomed me as I entered Claudy's. Looking around, the cafe was really spacious and spotlessly clean.   The tables were nicely shaped with beautiful  cream color table clothes on them. There were cute flower vases on the tables which added elegance to the cafe even more. There was a decent crowd inside and a middle aged couple was at the counter who I  guess were the owners. They were greeting all people by their name. I guess everyone knows everyone here. Looking through the menu and deciding to try their banana and chocolate pancakes, I made my way towards the counter. And guess what... They too smelled the air when I approached and then greeted me with a smile. Like seriously, what is going on now.

"Hello there, you are new to town I believe. Welcome. I am Garry and this is my wife Claudia. What would you like to order? ", said the man, Garry.  "Hi, Yes I just arrived here few days back. My name is Elene. I would like banana and chocolate pancakes. Also chocolate milkshake please", I ordered with a smile. Taking my order I sat by a table near the window. The pancakes were delicious as Sam had told.

The grocery store was right  next to Claudy's.  After getting everything I needed, I made my way towards my new home. There was a moving truck outside the apartment gate. New neighbor! At last some company for me. Few men are taking the furniture inside. A woman was standing near the truck bumpers keeping a check on the men. She was of my height, with brown hair, very elaborately arranged. Thinking about it, the flat next to mine was empty, maybe she was moving in there.  Determined to make a new friend, I made my way towards her. Before I could utter a word, she turned towards me and looked at me excitedly  and the words she spoke later had me shook.

"Hi El, We are going to be the bestest friends!", said the crazily esxcited woman shaking my hand.  Okayyy.. Not knowing what to reply back I gave her one of those confused smiles. I guess she understood how confused I was cause suddenly her face expression changed from excitement to that to of awareness and realization. "Oh! My name is Anvi Darika.  I am your new neighbor. You can call me An or Anvi. Anything you are okay with. I am an Indian. I am going to start as a arts teacher in Prestige University! The landlord had told me about you and how you are of same age as me and how are also a teacher and I like making friends.  Also, you don't mind me calling you El right?  At  times I keep on blabbering and I wont stop until you stop me..", she went on and on . I couldn't but burst out laughing. Seeing me laugh she too started laughing. Maybe she was right. We were going to be good friends. I could already feel it. Seeing her properly now, she had brown eyes and cute dimples which showed every time her lips curved to smile. She was a total cutie!  "Hi An, Nice to meet you too!  You can call me El. I can help move some stuff. Also, I don't really mind you blabbering!",I said with a grin. She shook her head with her own grin and told me to move some light boxes. And well, that was the beginning of our friendship.
