"It's official. You are entirely insane." Anna said as she sat across the booth from AG, folding her hands together.
AG scoffed, shaking her head quickly. "No, no, I may be an idiot 90% of the time, but this time you take the cake."
"Who the fuck picks pancakes over waffles?" AG stressed, letting out and exasperated sigh.
"Um, pancakes are so much fluffier than waffles." Anna argued.
"So what? Waffles can carry more toppings and won't get soggy like pancakes do. Plus, they can be paired with other foods to make a good combo." AG quickly shot back. "Have you ever heard of pancake cones? Pancake fries? Chicken and Pancakes? NO!"
"You need a whole waffle iron! Why waste your money on that if you can just make pancakes instead?" Anna paused. "I mean, unless they're frozen waffles."
She continued. "Also pancakes can be stacked and eaten in large numbers, and you can make pancakes with other ingredients within it. Like chocolate chips and blueberries. Waffles can't do that." Anna countered, the waiter placing their respective plates in front of them.
"Thank you," They both said, the waiter nodding politely and walking over the another table.
"Who has money to buy that when you can just make pancakes?" Anna continued, watching as AG reflect over her words.
They each smiled at their food, grabbing their utensils so that they could devour their brunch.
"You make good points, but my mind will never change," AG cut into her waffle and took in a forkful, letting out a sound filled with delight. "Why are we even debating this? If you think about it, both use the same batter."
Anna thought about that for a second before agreeing. "Yeah, true. But the shape does make a difference. Waffles are just pancakes with abs."
AG laughed. "That's one way to think about it."
They remained silent after that, Anna occasionally peeking up to look at AG's face only to already be met with her attentive eyes on her. Both smiled and blushed before looking away, returning their focus to their food.
When their plates cleared, Anna neatly piled their plates and pushed them to the side, waiting for their server to come back with the bill.
AG held her head on her propped hand, ogling the girl in front of her with a smile on her face. Anna smiled too, AG's smile being highly contagious.
"Why are you smiling at me like that?"
AG's smile instantly spread wider, biting her lip once she felt that it would break her face. "I like the view."
"You do?" Anna's grin mirrored hers, playing off of her words.
AG's body glowed. "Yes."
"You're my best view." Anna confidently said, keeping her eye contact with AG.
"...meh." AG reached out one of her hands to grab Anna's warm hand. "I think my girlfriend's view is better."
Anna blushed, squeezing AG's hand. "My girlfriend is beautiful, you know."
