AG woke up and patted the bed beside her, only to find it empty. Even though she would've loved for her to wake up with Anna in her arms, she wasn't worried that she left.

AG glanced at the clock, seeing that it was 9 in the morning.

She's probably just went to use the bathroom, AG thought, rolling out of bed to grab the pancake mix from her bag. Anna would never voluntarily be awake at this time.

Yawning and rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, AG brushed her teeth before trudging down the stairs, entering the kitchen with sleepiness still evident in her eyes.

She sensed Anna's presence in there, so she hid the pancake mix box behind her back.

When AG entered the kitchen, she saw Anna quickly move her hand away from the freezer when she heard AG's footsteps near. "What are you doing?" AG asked.

"Oh, nothing. Why are you up early?" Anna replied smoothly.

AG gave her a dry look. "Boon, you're never up this early. Like...ever."

Anna gave her a guilty look before sighing. "You caught me." She reached into the freezer and pulled out a box of Eggos. "I was gonna make you waffles and bring them to you in bed but you ruined the surprise by waking up."

AG's heart fluttered, giving Anna a soft look before laughing. So that's why she nudged the freezer door shut yesterday before coming out to her mom.

Confusion crossed Anna's features. "Why are you laughing? I wanted to do something nice for you." Anna pouted, unconsciously chuckling as well as she watched AG.

AG brought the box from behind her back into Anna's view. They stared at each other with grins plastered on their faces, looking at each other like that Spider-Man twin meme.

"I was going to make you pancakes, but you woke up before me." AG eventually revealed.

"Great minds think alike." Anna said in her announcer voice, opening the box and sticking three waffles in the toaster for her.

"That is true." AG laughed, grabbing a bowl, measuring cup, and a skillet for the pancakes from the places she remembered yesterday. "How are you feeling?"

Anna pursed her lips, a rosy blush coating her cheeks. "It still hurts a little bit but overall, pretty good."

Footsteps clobbered into the kitchen, interrupting their conversation. "What hurts a little bit?" Anna's mother questioned. "Were you sick last night?"

"Uh—," Anna said, glancing at her mom before focusing her attention on the toaster so that she could hide her red face. "Something like that."

Her mother's eyebrow went upon confusion, AG speaking up. "She had a bit of a stomach ache yesterday."

"Well, are you alright now? Do I need to call the doctor?" Anna's mother asked her daughter with concern.

"No, I'm good. Thanks for asking though." Anna managed to reply without tripping over her words.

"Don't worry Mrs. Shumate, I took great care of her." AG innocently told the woman, her features softening. "Do you want some pancakes as well?" AG dumped in more batter for her before she even replied.
