The Decision

I was tutoring Non as usual while P'Niko play distracts himself by reading some of my Cat books, I notice that Jack and Jill haven't shown up since earlier.

I decided to ask P'Niko if he knew where those two went after class but P'Niko also didn't know where they've been.

I turned to Non who was reviewing those notes I gave him and decided to asked him.

"Non do you know where Jack head earlier?"  

He cluelessly shook his head.

"C'mon don't worry, Those two are just hanging around somewhere." 

"It's just that Jack doesn't go missing like this without telling me."

I turned my focus back on tutoring Non, Actually, as I tutor Non it felt so... I didn't understand the feeling, It felt so comfortable with him now. He then started joking around and every time He does something stupid or just mispronounces sometimes I always can't help myself to crack up a hard laugh. 

"Okay, How about we play something that might help you understand Tagalog more than you usually do, It Helped me from learning Thai easily why not give it a try"

"What are we kindergarten?" Non teased, 

"Common! promise this will be fun!" 

Non nod his head agreeing to my suggestion, I grabbed a piece of paper from my bag and wrote random words on it. I explain to him that the game was going to be easy, the instruction was just to identify the translation of the word I'm going to state.

"shall we start?" I asked, waiting for a cue of agreement.

he nods once again.

We then started the game and honestly, Non was enjoying it as he killed it with memorization. he literally nailed it.

"how about the word Worrisome?"

He scratches his chin and looked up, giving me a prideful action, he was very confident with this once.

"nakakapag...pagagabob"

*Facepalm I can't help myself to laugh,  how much he fucking mispronounced  that easy ass word,

Well, I guess he nailed some of them.

I then Notice P'Niko walking up from behind.

"Hmm... Key how about happy birthday in Tagalog?" he randomly asked.

"ahh...I know it's Maligayang araw, Why?"

I felt a rough hand had covered my eyes, I already knew that it was P'Niko Until I hear an annoying ass song.

"Happy birthday too you, Happy birthday too you, Happy birthday to you~"

P'NIKo then uncovers my eyes, My sight surprised me with Jack, Jill, and P'Niko in front of me holding a small cupcake that has a lighted candle stuck onto it.

"Go on Key make a wish," Jack said, leading toward me the small cake with a lighted candle.

I crossed my arms and grinned at the three of them.

" I hate it to break it to you guys but it, not my birthday...yet"

The three exchanged glances, looking confused. Jack then suddenly attached his sibling by hitting her from behind.

"Stupid! you said it was today"

"Oii! It was today, It even says it on his IG account"

"Hahaha, actually I intended to change my birthday's on my accounts."

"What a waste, We've looked everywhere looking for these muffins," Jill said.

"I thought these were just plane cupcakes" Jack muttered.

I Blew on the candles one by one. I felt happy seeing that at least they gave the effort to show that they really care for my birthday, Even if it wasn't a big surprise but what they did was enough to fill my heart with flying colors.

" But seriously, When is your birthday," Jack asked.

"Tomorrow" Non unexpectedly answered leaving everyone including me shocked.

"How the hell do you know that?" P'Niko rudely asked.

Non didnt bother to look at us and continue reading his book. " try and ask him" he said in a lifeless tone.

"Is this true?" P'NIko asked. 

I slowly nod my head, But it left me in confusion about how knew that information.

P'Niko then sigh with a smile on his face, 

"Of course you'll know when his birthday is tomorrow, cause today is the last day of tutoring" P'Niko mockingly pointed out, I stopped him cause it was heading the wrong way.

"What?! am I not right?  remembered that you said at the end of September you'll stop seeing this Lardass"

"P! that's enough..."

"Surely you'll remember what he said, you're completely obsessed with having him" Non Muttered.

"The Fuck did you say!" P'Niko stood up almost reaching his temper.

Jack and Jill try to calm him down and I did the same to Non, But that didnt stop their agreement.

" Isn't true?!"

"You little shit!" 

P'Niko manages to grab Non by his collar pulling him up.

"Go on Punch me, Kick me, I'll let you beat me all you want, that's what you're good at right?!" 

P'Niko just rolled his eye on him and push him away.

"Why acting NICE now?! cause you don't want Keiyan to see the true person you really are"

"Non!" I protested, preventing him from crossing that line.

"Don't act all nice now, Remember you made me like this"

"Huh?! Non you're the one who made yourself look like a foolish, It's your fault why you turn into the selfless shit that you are today" 

Non unexpectedly draw a punch at P'Niko, The twins try to pull P'Niko preventing him to fight back.

"PUTA CAN YOU TWO STOP IT!?!" Both of them stopped having each other Deadly gaze.

"Can you two just act maturely about your problem?!"

"Okay, why not you decide Keiyan why don't you choose? Would you rather spend time with that spoiled asshole and keep lying to your cousin or come with us"

"Why are you—"

"US OR HIM!?!" P'Niko shouted, giving me pressure.

I looked back at Non, and back at my friends who were waiting for my answer. I felt my heart pounding I could barely hear it. 

But I already knew what I was going to pick, I already broke my promise to P'Pete for agreeing to this and I am not waiting for the moment he's going to find it out. I knew who I was going to pick from the start, I have lost the trust of my family and I'm not gonna lose the trust of others who are most meaningful to me. 

I slowly turn my glance at Non and sat back down,

" Non let's just finish the tutoring session....so we can get over this "

I didnt dare to look back at him after that but all I saw was he clenched his fist as I notice the dripping tears falling down on the ground.

He didnt sat back down and just left him to leave, I sustained my position, facing the desk feeling upset, asking myself.

Did I make the right choice?
