The Ever After

Miko's POV

I was just walking home, ready to die in my sleep. Until one caught my eye I saw someone who looked very familiar. He was walking alone although I still can't quite remember who the person was. It's on the tip of my tongue.

I couldn't help it and just walk straight to him and have a quick glance.

As I went towards him, I pat him on the shoulder and be treated by one of the twins.

"P'Miko?" He said.

"AHhh...Jil..." His eyes narrowed, he might not be Jill "Jer... Ja...JACK!" Finally, I remembered.

"Yeah... what are you doing here? " He asked.

"Nothing just walking home... you? "

"same," He said disappointedly, I noticed that his twin wasn't there so I asked where she was.

"She didn't want me to stay and wait for her to finish her Quiz and Test for her Finals in her medical school so I might go home alone for a couple of weeks."

"Oh... Right, she's the medical one... got that"

"Why are you acting like your just figuring it out for the first time? We've sat together for a couple of months now? " He teasingly asked.

"to be real with you, I didn't even know who was who when your twin and you are together"

He laughed, I just awkwardly giggled. I actually didn't say that as funny in my head, it quite embarrassing.

"Are we that trippy that you won't even recognize us by our genders?"

"Yeah, You two are freakishly so similar." 

"Well, we are twins after all." He said in a downed tone, something might bother him.

"what's with the face?" I concern-ly asked.

"Nothing haha it's just I'm not as used to being alone and independent like Jill, I've always been the younger outcast out of my family. I've always relied on her. but now she's growing and being someone she has always dreamed of, and here I am still no progress in life."

This man is being hard on himself, doubting his progress in life. I felt quite bad for him so I pat him on the back for comfort.

"Sorry for being so dramatic, I dont know what that's about" 

"No, No it's fine. You know OUR friend once told me that what your feeling inside is completely valid."

"you sound like Keiyan now, I dont like that" He mentioned.

"Okay, okay It's not as heated felt moment when I say it but I'm saying that if you have some problems... I'm here to listen, I won't judge" 

I wrapped my arm around his shoulder and kept walking.

"dont worry I'll be your buddy while your twin is there making her future. "

He shyly smiled and kept walking, we had a lot of talks, I didn't actually know that he was very interesting. He's very comfortable in showing his passion to me. I may say that we got along pretty quickly, He's great and very... charming.


Mr. Ajchayapol POV [ Non's Father ]

I woke up early, as usual, to prepare for work, although something changed. As I went downstairs I was greeted by the maids with a sweet warm smile as they greeted me Goodmorning, 

I wasn't quite sure what holiday is today but I sure made my caretakers warmly happy. 

"Rosemary, Did Non came home yesterday?" 

"I-..." She was speechless, I received no agreed answer.

" I'm here Dad, by the way, good morning too" He greeted with a soft smile on his face. It was unusual seeing him wake up before me, fully dressed for school.

He placed our breakfast on the table while it was hot.

"Apologies but may I asked, Did he made these?" I asked one of the maids.

She smiled and nodded as a sign of agreement.

He surprisingly sat down with me and ate breakfast. He looked unusually joyful today. It's like looking at a different person.

" What on about you, Non?" I asked, breaking the thick atmosphere that I'm not used to.

"Nothing, It's just I never had actually eaten Breakfast with you before." He replied. It wasn't sarcastic like he always sounded, It more sincere.

"yes, because you always get up so late, you mostly missed breakfast, Or you sleep at someone else's house"

"Yeah, It was kind of hard back then. It was hard figuring thing on my own" 

"Mr. Ohm, Mr. Keiyan is calling, The phone has been ringing for a while." Rosemary handed the phone.

"Thank you," He said so sincerely, I completely paused to figure out how to function once again. He answered the phone smiled and greeted the person through the phone good morning as well. 

It's highly uncomfortable seeing him like this, It's not a bad sign though, although I'm just not used to it.

As he ended the conversation, I mentioned something. 

" I see you have used the Name that your mother gave you"

"Yeah, Non's someone I have finally gain closure and I like the Name Ohm, It's very pure." He answered. 

That named was given to him by his mother, Before she passed away he completely abandoned the given name and insisted to be called Non instead. His mother was the only one who had ever called him that and now here he is A completely changed man. 

"Hm! Hey dad I have to go, Fong, is waiting for me at the university" 

"Alright, Take care" 

"you to dad, love yah" 

My eyes widen, but I just stood up and watch him drive to his university, He waved goodbye and I waved back. It was almost unbelievable, Everything that just happened felt like a complete dream, Am I Sleeping cause if I am Dont ever wake me up.

Shari's POV

Mom woke us up and told us to clean up the house, I was unsure and still loading about why we should prepare but I just followed. 

Until something caught my eye It was Kuya Kendrick in his pajamas and everything, He emerged out of his old room, I didn't know that he came here yesterday.  He looked dead and hardly looked like he's about to pass out. I don't think I got a lot of sleep last night.

I took a quick shower and wore something nice. it was still unclear why were preparing but I just follow their orders and didn't question.

After that, we were in the Van, and with no question, we just drove off.

Kuya Kendrick who was barely hanging was sitting with me.

" Since when did you come home? you weren't in the room all this time arent you?" I asked.

"No, I came home yesterday for a 15 hour Flight to here, I arrived here already midnight so you might be already asleep."

"Oh, so any ideas where they'll take us?"

" I don't know Mae Mom just ordered me to come home today, something about some Family Gathering idk " He was barely hanging so I let him sleep and didnt bother him anymore.

While we were squished in a van I remembered this path was heading, It was heading to the airport. 

Hold on Kendrick said that this was a family gathering right? does this mean that Keiyan's coming home?

I began to shake and got nervous, I know I've done him bad before, I'm the one who got him in Thailand in the first place and now seeing him back here would be so awkward.

I won't blame him though if he came back holding a grudge towards me, most of this is all my fault.

We arrived at the airport with Dad and me, Dad said were gonna wait for Ate Saori then we'll eat lunch.

There was no mention of the arrival of Keiyan though which was very odd.

Within a few minutes, Ate Ann I Came out of the airport as she emerged on her state. After that, we went and ate lunch.

"Hey ate Ann any clue why we're all here?" I asked.

"Not really, all I know is Dad called me last week and informed me that I should go home this week so I did, I have to leave work early just so I could book my flight here"

"Dont you think it's weird that Keiyan's not here?"

" Since when you learned to talk? Your the one who sent him there" Kuya Kendrick Added.

"Ken...Stop it, it's better to have one problem than more of it," She defended. " but It is odd but I guess he chooses to stay there"

We then went home to see our house opened, there was a car parked in front of it so we all Immediately went inside, until we surprisingly got greeted by Keiyan and Kuya Kao inside. 

"It's glad to be home," Keiyan said, He smiled and looked at me "It's nice to see you too," He said.

I smiled back.
