Y/n pov
Sitting alone in library, doing homeworks given by our professor. I wrote down the last paragraph on my notebook and unplugged the airpod on my ear. I gathered my things and left library.
I was about to open my locker when Irene suddenly appeared on my side.
"hey y/n! Can i ask a favor?"
"yeah of course, what is it?" i asked and put my things on locker.
"can you do my homework?" she asked with her puppy eye.
"o-of course sure" i gave her my fake smile
"cool you're the best! I'm gonna email you my homework" she said joyfully and left me, you're just saying that because you need something to me.
I just sigh and glanced on my watch, 12:00.

I plugged my airpods on my ear and opened my mint gum. I sat on the bench, waiting for the bus. Chewing my gum I feel someone sat beside me but i just ignored it.
She smell cigarette that makes me glance at her, surprised, she turned to me as well, she was saying something but i can't hear it because of my airpods. She has cat eye and raven hair, pretty.
She tapped my shoulder that made me flinched, i quickly unplugged my one airpod.
"hey, are you okay? U seemed... zone out" she said
"n-no I'm fine, what were you saying again?" i felt my face became hot.
"do you have mint?" she asked.
I get my mint gum on my pocket and gave it to her.
We talked for short time until her bus came.
"my bus is here, I'm going now"
Day by day you always meet her in the bus stop and giving her a mint candy.
"I should give you a whole pack of mint" you joked
"I think you should" the girl laugh
"Ah. we've been talking for days now" she said then chew the candy
"hm?" i looked at her
"we still don't know each other's name"
"you're right.. should I tell you?" I unplugged my airpods
"I'm Jennie. Jennie Kim" she said the offered her hands for handshake
" y/n. Choi Y/n" i accepted her hand.

"you okay? you seemed down" she asked with concerned face and sat beside me
I gave her a mint candy
"I'm asking if you're okay. I didn't ask for candy" she said and give the sweet back to me.
"I'm fine, its just.. just too stress in school works"
"hmm.. is it because of those girls?" she pointed to Irene's group
how did she knew?
"I saw her talking to you and gave you a notebook"
"she just.. gave me a notes for upcoming test" I lied
I just can't say no to them
"ehh.. okay" she said and leaned her back
"my friend just got dumped" she said out of nowhere and laughed
"what"
"she got dumped because she gave the girl a thorny rose" she said
"she asked for my advise but she didn't follow it"
she laughed
I just laughed with her until the bus came
"then.. bye" I waved my hand
"see you tomorrow" she said
Days turn into weeks turn into months. you have gotten used having her by your side, you do things together, go to random places together, she shares her secret place with you, brings you a small presents, you let your guard down everytime you're with her, so she does. Both of you becomes vulnerable for each other. This is the first time.
Months turn ito 4 years, you've sure fallen for her. You catch feelings for her and so she does.
should I tell the truth? should I confess?
"you really like cakes huh" she said while drinking her cofee. we are in café.
"ahhh... you're really different from her" she said
"her?"
"do you want to go to amusement park?" she obviously avoid my question.
"hmm.. sure" I looked at her.
her? her friend?
Then the day come. She just admitted that she has a girlfriend.
"I'm sorry. I didn't tell you earlier" she looked down
"But I promise i will still hangout with you" she said
please... you're making this hard for me
"please don't avoid me" you can hear her sincere voice
you just nodded. forcing your tears not to come out
You respect her and give her a space but still he doesn't want to let you go. You know that she is giving her girlfriend less time for you, and you hate that.
I don't want her to become a cheater because of me.
You struggle having an idea that he is clearly having feelings for you but choosing someone else.

"I like you" I finally said it.
she didn't rejected it nor accepted your confession.
It hurts... because for the first time, you found someone compatible for you but maybe its not the time for both of you yet. The time is just not right for both of you.
