ah yes. europe. home to many cultures and people. holding some of the largest empires of all time
and a backstabbing mess of a continent
What a great opener.
But before we get into the politics, we need to get to know the nations of this confusing. blood thirsty place
1: the celtic republic
(celtic republic land in green)
ah yes. the celts, one of the oddballs of this place, being the only European nation without some form of monarchy or aristocracy, while also being the newest country in europe. having gained independance from the isles only a couple decades back, but quickly rising to join european affairs as a true power who is not to be trifled with.
the celt republic gained independance from the isles during the 4th Alamo-islander war, when during the peace deals the celt republic, who had helped the alamo empire fight the isle off there little island by rebbeling against there occupiers.
Though while recognized as independant by the rest of europe. it wasnt recognized as a world power, or even a threat more as a little country that existed off to the side, not worth fighting simply because it was a waste of resources and held no strategic value if you had the kingdom of ilios on your side. which the celts soon realized and decided that they couldnt risk fading into the back ground and one day being crushed by the islanders or a enemy of ilios.
And so, realizing that growing in europe was impossible, they decided that. inorder to avoid destruction in another one of Europe's long history of wars. colonize the outside world.
of course this wasnt easy. traversing the atlantic was hard and most land near europe had been colonized or taken by the solamani. they had to pick and choose where they colonized. and they saw three options. india. north america. or south america.
North america had long since been found. along with its southern brother. and both had been rapidly colonized by the europeans. though there was still much land to be discovered. and exploited
The celtic republic though. realizing that while india would give them much more immediately. they would have to rely on trade from other european countries for the unique goods of the americas. which would only hinder there expansion.
