Regret...
There's a lot of regret, everything that is happening is going on such a fast pace, why does he keep pushing everyone away? Did he feel as if he didn't deserve someone to be by his side? Or did he know he was gonna crush them?
He stayed in his room, refusing to answer his parents calls, the more they called his name the more he felt he was falling down an endless hole.
He couldn't help but remember over and over again when he pushed (Y/n) away, the way... he tried to strangle the person he cared so much for.
He couldn't help but blame himself over Tom's death... what if he didn't go? What if he was the one who fell instead?
His conscious was battling with itself, he wasn't sure what to do anymore.
His soft cries toned down when his inner voice spoke out loud, letting him know... that it wasn't actually his fault, Helen slowly sat on his bed, those same words echoing in his head, it felt like it was actually someone else talking to him in the dark, letting him know that it wasn't his fault, that he made a right choice pushing (Y/n) away for a while.
Regaining his thoughts the voice inside him spoke once again, "Helen, it wasn't your fault, deep down... you knew Tom deserved what happened to him." It echoed much more louder this time. A phantom feeling, a pair of hands touching his shoulders in such a gentle way and caressing him, whatever it was, it was whispering in his ear, "Helen, no matter what, everyone who has hurt you deserve that same amount of pain."
Helen only stayed quiet for a moment, his tears starting to dry, the moment its inner voice spoke up it comforted him like nobody else could.
It helped him.
Maybe It knew what it was best for Helen, he needed to punish those who did him wrong.
__
"I'm not going to that stupid party..." You were covered in your blankets, days passed in a flash and the party was gonna happen tonight, you knew Annie invited you and all but if it meant it was Judy's then she could forget about you.
You wanted to go to sleep so badly, but the thoughts of Aiden leaving you kept coming back to you, you simply couldn't believe how he decided to completely ignore your words.
And then Helen also pushed you away, you were unwanted either way, your friends leaving you completely.
Hours passed and as you laid on your bed your eyes slowly started to close, feeling fuzzy and embracing the warm blankets, finally being able to sleep.
That was until a shrieking sound could be heard downstairs completely alarming you, you get up from your bed and fall to the floor, it sounded like your mother. You wasted no time to go downstairs and check what was going on.
Your eyes met your mother's figure struggling to keep the door from the front closed, "mom?!" You called out to her, quickly assisting her to close the door, you kept pushing but at the same time your curiosity got the best of you as to who it was trying to open the door from the other side, the small opening gave you a chance to see a white shirt and red yet you couldn't see who it was until that person spoke up.
"Please... please let me in, I beg you, (Y/n)!"
Your figure completely froze when you realized it was Aiden's voice, "mom, mom! It's Aiden please let him in!" You quickly tried to open the door and that's when Aiden finally fell on the floor with a hard thud.
You quickly dragged him in as he grunted in pain, your mom closing the door shut behind you.
As you looked at Aiden you could see he was completely injured, his shirt was completely soaked in red liquid, it couldn't be his own blood right? You tried so hard to deny it until you turned him on his back, looking at his hand holding his side, his left eye marked with a big slash as it kept dripping blood, "mom, call the police right now!" Your mother quickly ran to the kitchen to dial the police.
You could only see in pure fear as to what happened to Aiden, "Aiden... please stay with me, what happened?!" You held his side, putting pressure so he wouldn't lose any more blood.
"A... Annie..." he spoke up between harsh breaths, he couldn't help but cough violently as he choked on his own blood.
"I already called the police, (Y/n), they should be on their way." Your mother finally came back, bringing a white towel to cover and apply pressure on his injury the best she could.
You only stayed silent, thinking that the only words Aiden blurred out was Annie, was she in danger too? Did she get caught by someone? Is the same person who hurt Aiden going for her?
You slowly got up trying to reach the door, "Annie... I need to look for her." Your mother's eyes widened, completely disagreeing with your idea.
"(Y/n), don't even think about touching that door! You're staying inside until the police arrives, don't you see there's a maniac attacking people outside?!" She shouted.
"But mom, Annie is–!"
Your mother didn't let you know finish, interrupting your words as her tears slowly fell down her cheeks, "but what about you, (Y/n)?! I cannot let my child go outside caring for others, I don't want you to end up like him, please think about yourself for once!" Everything was silent once your mother finished what she was saying,
The room was silent for a moment, you only watched your mother's figure, crouched down as she held Aiden's head with her hand, trying to keep him awake, you could see it in her eyes that she was scared, but she was more than prepared to do anything to keep you safe and to make you feel safe.
You wanted to say something else, but your mouth was quickly shut when the sound of glass shattering from the kitchen could be heard, even the sound of someone stepping on the glass could be heard.
They broke in.
