I stand there, frozen, unable to comprehend the stupidity of my own actions that lead me to this moment. A warm laugh diverts me from my frantic thoughts.
He stands up still laughing. "I'm so sorry, I saw you coming towards me, but I couldn't seem to bring my feet to move out of the way."
"Oh, please don't apologize, it's completely my fault, I really shouldn't be riding carts like that, especially with my eyes closed. Pretty stupid of me."
"You definitely looked like you were enjoying yourself though."
I chuckle awkwardly not knowing how to respond. "You're not hurt, right?"
"Might be a bit bruised tomorrow but I'll be just fine", he grinned.
I gave him a thumbs up, being really embarrassed with the whole situation, and walked away. Immediately I start rethinking every thing I said and did. Life must hate me truly, to have me run into the cute domino's boy. What kind of joke was this?
