Wrapping up my fifteenth run through season three of haikyuu, I turn to my best friend, Charlotte Garcia. "I'm just so proud of them, they worked so hard and they came out on top.", I explain through tears.
"I know, I'm so sad the manga is over, it was supposed to go on FOREVER. I would literally watch Sugawara go grocery shopping for an entire chapter and be happy.", she sobbed back.
"I KNOW"
"So, any men catch your eye as favourably as these have, recently?", she mischievously asks while shoving ice cream in her mouth, tears still shining off her cheeks.
Instantly, I could feel my face heat up, "No, ma'am."
"Lies."
"Just the cute domino's boy who I already told you about."
"Ah, yes, the familiar tale of the seen once and never again."
"Well, maybe not..", I trailed off, not wanting to lie directly.
"Is there something you're not telling me, y/n m/n?", she inquired sharply.
"It's the stupidest thing ever, but I ran into him at the grocery store" I paused as she rose her eyebrows, silently asking me if there were more details. I took a deep breath before finishing, "Literally, I hit him with my cart."
I watched as her face morphed into shock, then laughter. "OH MY GOD Y/N, YOU'RE JOKING, YOU'RE ACTUALLY JOKING"
I buried my face into a pillow and shook my head. "I wish I was, I really wish I was."
"So, what's this "cute domino's boy" look like anyway?"
"Oh, about yay high." I raise my hand to show his approximate height. "Short brown hair, average build I'd say, great smile, and hazel eyes."
"Does he have a name?"
"His name is Andrew, it feels weird calling him that though, since we've never talked.", I answered.
"No weirder than calling him "cUtE dOmiNo'S bOy."
"Touché."
A duet of laughter erupted, then tears as we both remembered the ending of our favourite fictional story.
