An Upsetting Day

Poppys POV
I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and went to hug Branch as he slept. I turned to him and saw he wasnt there. I began to freak out and tear up. "Branch?!? Branch where are you?!?" I shouted out and began to cry. "Poppy? Are you ok??" I heard a soft voice ask making me look up and sigh. "Y-Yeah im ok. I guess im still a bit sensitive from that nightmare...." I said and hugged my knees. I suddenly felt strong arms wrap around me and pull me into a hug. "Poppy its ok to feel upset. From what you told me you had a nasty nightmare. So its ok if you need to cry.....I will always be right by your side if you need anyone." Branch said and kissed me on the head. I smiled and returned the hug. "Thank you Branch." I said and wiped the tears from my eyes. "No problem. I got some breakfast ready by the way." He said. "Ok. Im going to get dressed then I will be right out." I said. "Ok. Love you Pops." Branch said making me smile. "I love you to Branchie." I said and he turned around and walked back to the kitchen.

Branches POV
I walked towards the kitchen to serve mine and Poppys breakfast. I put the food on the plates but just before I poured coffee into our cups, I saw my hand glow and felt dizzy, making me drop the coffee maker and I fell backwards and blacked out.

Poppys POV
I heard a large crash as I finished putting my dress and crown on then rushed to the kitchen and saw Branch laying on the floor with a few shards of glass from the coffee maker in his body. "Branch!!" I said and ran up to him and lifted his head onto my lap and pulled the glass off of his body. After a while of hugging him, I heard a groan and looked at Branch and saw him opening his eyes. I helped him stand as he rubbed his head. "Branch, are you ok?" I asked worriedly. "Ugh. I dunno Poppy. I really ugh dont." Branch said. "We need to get you to a doctor." I said as Branch nodded. We left the castle to go to the hospital. "We need a doctor please." I said to the troll at the front desk. "Of course your highness. Please take a seat over there and we shall have a doctor with you shortly." The front desk troll said. "Thank you." I said and helped Branch to a seat. We sat down and I heard Branch gasp in pain. "Branch? We really need to know whats wrong." I said with a scared voice. All Branch could do was wince and nod. "Queen Poppy and King Branch." A voice said. I looked up and saw a doctor. I helped Branch stand and walk to the doctor. "Right this way please." The doctor said. I nodded. "Can you make it?" I asked Branch. "Y-ugh-Yeah I think so." Branch said. I frowned at him as we followed the doctor. "Please come in." The doctor said as we walked in. We all sat down and the doctor looked at us. "My name is Doctor Sage. What seems to be the problem?" Doctor Sage asked. "This morning, when I was making me and Poppys breakfast, I began to feel dizzy and my hand started to glow. I don't know the rest of it since I blacked out." Branch said with a sore tone. Doctor Sage looked at us and picked up a phone and called someone. A few minutes later, two trolls walked in. They had jackets on and had leather pants and wore goggles. "We were told that you had a glowing hand your majesty." One of the trolls said to Branch. I looked at Branch as he winced and nodded. They began to ask questions. Questions Branch couldnt properly answer and I saw it made him angry. I watched the scene and just as I was about to stop the situation in front of me, I saw Branches eyes glow red and his hands glow and turn sharp at the top of his hand. I covered my mouth and cried because this was similar to the nightmare I had. "Stop.asking.me.questions!" Branch yelled. I went to calm him down but was thrown to the other side of the Doctor Sages office and looked up at Branch with more tears running down my face as I felt pain in my shoulders and head. I saw Branch shake his head then hold it. "P-Poppy......." Branch said sadly and looked at his hands. "What have I done......?" He asked himself and looked back at me. His eyes werent glowing anymore but his hands were still sharp. I stood up slowly and began to walk to Branch. "Poppy p-please don't come near me......I dont wanna hurt you...." He said and stepped back. "Its ok Branch. Its not your fault. You didnt know what was happening." I said and reached out to him but he turned and ran away. "Branch!!!" I yelled out and turned to the doctor and other trolls. "Whats happening?!?! And why did you make him mad?!?!" I yelled at them. "We did that so we could find out whats wrong with him." One of the masked trolls said. "Well? Did you?" I asked and crossed my arms, not caring about the pain I felt in my shoulders. "Yes we did. He has a curse called Midnight Abuse. It causes a troll to have different types of monster parts form on their body when angered or stressed." My eyes widened as he said that. It relates to my dream......but no machines are used...... "H-How long does it last?" I asked, hoping that it wasn't permanent. "Two years. Less if we find a type of plant called the Solis Magnolia. Its hidden in a far away forest." They said. "If we find and use the plant....how long will the curse last?" I asked. "An hour." I looked at them then turned around. "Then lets go." I said but was stopped. "Im sorry your highness, but it only shows at midnight." I looked down as they said the time an sighed. "Alright......im going to find Branch. But meet me at the front gate at 11:00 pm so we can get a head start on this mission. And thats an order." I said and crossed my arms as I narrowed my eyebrows. "Yes Queen Poppy." They said as I turned around and left to find Branch.

Uh oh. It seems like Poppys nightmare is coming true. At least he hasnt lost his memory and its easier to fix. But anyways until next time BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
