Queen Of The Pansexual's POV

The next shop I decided was safest was.... nothing. I looked back at the list McGonagall had given us with our Hogwarts letter and the only other things we needed (well, I needed) was our books and uniform. Either of them would be a huge giveaway. I decided to just go for it and started striding towards Madam Malkin's Robes for all occasions. I started jogging so I would get there before Harry.

Whilst inside I walked up to Madam Malkin, who was fortunately not sizing anyone yet. I spoke to her in a hushed voice despite the room being bare. "Harry Potter is coming in in a minute, can you please size him at the same time as me?" I asked her in a rush.

"Of course dear." was the simple reply she gave me.

That second Harry walked in and I grabbed his arm. Offering no explanation, I steered him to one of the sizing areas, letting go of his arm I went to the one right next to it.

"Pansy..." He said unsurely, worry evident in his voice. Before he could say anything else though Madam Malkin came in and saved the day. And by "saved the day" I mean started to size him with enchanted tools that I didn't know the name of. While in the process of being sized he couldn't move, so I took this as my chance.

"Okay..." Frick. FRICK! No Pansy. NO! You will not cry in a flipping robe shop where anyone can see you. Oh well, it's not like I have any dignity left after the war.

I kept talking, refusing to acknowledge the single tear slowly slipping down my cheek.

"I'm sorry I-" I took a deep breath and held it. "Look, I know you don't want to go to Hogwarts, and I know all the reasons." He tried to interrupt me then but I didn't let him.

"I know you feel as if no one understands you, and you'll have no one there for you when you go back, but I'm here for you, and I don't want to go to Hogwarts without you." By this time there were tears falling down both our faces. I sniffed quietly, trying not to make a scene in front of Madam Malkin.

"McGonagall... she..." He gave me half a sad smile then, an expression that said 'of course you don't call her professor'. I rolled my eyes and ploughed on, "In the letter she wrote, it said that all the eighth years have the same common room. So you won't be alone, I'll always be there for you. Always..." (A/N I regret nothing... I had to do it... :D)

I ended my speech, telling myself that there was a good place to stop talking, but in reality, I couldn't continue because the only sounds coming out of my mouth was sobbing.

He looked down at his feet and I copied the motion, discreetly wiping stray tears as I went. I think he might have seen me... oh well. I saw him crying as well.

Madam Malkin looked between us and her eyes went soft. She gave us a nod and walked away, I guess that meant she was done with Harry's measurements.

We stayed staring at the floor long enough for the silence to become awkward. That was, until he spoke up.

"I- " he looked up slowly and I could clearly see the tear stains on his cheeks.

"I've only really known you for a day, and I don't know much about you yet. But I do know one thing. I want to know more about you. And I am well aware that it's going to be hard, the road will be bumpy and we might go through some bad times, but I will always be there for you as well. No matter what memories are there, and what pain it will cause me I think Hogwarts is worth a try. It's the only home I've ever had after all."

He stopped there to take a huge breath. Emotions were threatening to overcome me. Luckily, he only said one more thing.

"I think I've always known I would be returning... I just hadn't found a good enough reason yet."

Harry's POV

I looked back down at the ground, the tears had stopped falling by this point, but I still couldn't meet her eyes.

I stayed like that for a while.

And a while longer.

Too long...

Why wasn't she answering?

I blinked as hard as possible and saw lights behind my eyes. Then, mustering all my Gryffindor courage I cautiously leveled my eyes with the girl's infront of me. Only to be met with her beaming. Her smile was so big it covered up half of her face. I could no longer see any trace of the sadness that was there before.

Before I could dwell on this fact any longer I was embraced in strong arms. Her tan skin covered mine and it took me longer than usual to remember to hug her back. We found sanctuary in each other's arms, and only pulled away when Madam Malkin returned with my new school robes.

I took them from her politely and glanced at Pansy one more time, before walking towards the exit. It was only when I had one hand pressed against the door however, that I heard my name being called.

"HARRY!" Pansy said, somehow looking amused and astounded at the same time.

I turned back around to face her and cocked an eyebrow (a feat he'd learned from watching Draco do it all those times, though he would never admit it) subconsciously tilting my head to one side. The only reply she gave however was to motion with her finger, clearly telling to come back.

I placed my shrunken robes in my pocket and bounced back to where she was standing.

When I had reached her, she gasped at me in mock shock.

"You forgot about me!" she said overdramatically, one hand across her forehead as if she was about to faint.

It instantly clicked. She hadn't gotten fitted for her robes yet. Whoops.

I shot her a sheepish grin, I was quite good at looking sheepish. I had lots of practice from when I had to face Hermione with unfinished homework. However, it didn't seem to work this time.

The only thing I accomplished was for her to laugh at me. After she gave me an exasperated eye roll of course. During the short time I've spent with her I've found out that Pansy Parkinson is quite fond of rolling her eyes.

"I swear to Merlin you're like an old husband that's been married for too many years." She said through her giggles. (Pansy seemed to like giggling as well.)

I grimaced at her remark, that was not a good thing to be associated with.

"Well I'm sorry darling, after being alive this long your memory starts to fade." I said with a playful smirk atop my lips. "She asked for it".

It was record time the speed her expression changed from. Grinning, confused, shocked, amused, playful. I hardly saw the first expression, and then a new one was overtaking it. She bit her lip in thought, and after a few seconds she spoke up.

"Well babe" She said, her eyes never leaving mine. "I'm going to get my robes, you stay here sweetie, i'll be right back."

Dammit! She might have won the war today (was it a war? Of course it was! Do you really need to ask?) but he'd continue this, and he would win.

Pansy left to get sized as he sat down in one of the chairs. Maybe Hogwarts wouldn't be as bad as i'd initially thought...
