Starting from this chapter, it's going to be from the series so yay :D Also I will only be using episodes that include the students from Royal Prep.

Hugo will be FINALLY introduced here! I can't wait for you guys to read this :)

Let's get onto it then.

Dawn was excited about the derby race. Sofia invited her to watch, though she wished she could try out for the team. She had already asked her parents for permission to attend, and weirdly enough, they allowed it.

King Garrick, had royal arrangements with Auradon and his son was participating in the derby team, so Dawn's parents thought it'd be safe enought for Dawn, especially since she was going with King Roland II's children. They discussed it with Dawn, who didn't mind since she got to spend time with her friends. She seemed to be curious about King Garrick's son, who also attended Royal Prep, but decided not to ask further questions.

She waited patiently in her garden while reading a fascinating book called, "The Adventures of Neverland." She was engrossed in the story that she couldn't hear George, the castle steward, call her, "Princess Dawn, the Enchancian carriage has arrived."

He saw that she was distracted, and checked to see if any staff were there. When he assured himself that there was no one, he came up to her and lightly tickled her. "What are you-- George! Stop! You know I can't--HAHAHAHA--handle being tickled!"

Her whole body got warm as she laughed hard.

Finally, George stopped and smirked, "Well that's what you get for not paying attention. Your friends are here."

Dawn smiled. George was like the brother figure she never had. When her parents weren't around, he would always find a way to cheer her up, and she was really grateful for that.

"Great!" She closed her book and had brought it with her. As soon as she stepped out, she was greeted with a warm embrace from none other than Prince James. "I can't believe you're all here! Welcome to Auradon." She curtsied as she was released from the hug. "Wow. Your castle is much bigger than ours. You should invite us for tea sometime." Amber suggested as she observed the palace.

Dawn nodded as they walked to the carriage. They sat down and had pleasant conversations about the derby.

"Oh, I hope we're not late!" Sofia said worriedly. "We'd already be there if Amber didn't take so long to get ready." James teased.

"I had to find my derby tiara. That's the best thing about the flying derby. Everyone dresses up. And we'd be there sooner if we didn't have to get Dawn." Amber countered as she smirked at the other blonde princess.

"Hey! I didn't take THAT long." Everyone laughed. As the conversation continued, Dawn opened her book and continued where she left off.

They eventually got to the race and were just in time. The pegasi flew and went through obstacle after obstacle. "You know Sofia, Royal Prep has a flying derby team too." This made Sofia shift her attention to her step-brother, her eyes sparkling with curiosity and excitement.

"Really?" James nodded and gazed at Dawn who was half-listening, half-reading. "There's a tryout race next week, and we start practicing for it tomorrow. You could come watch if you want."

"I'm going. Prince Hugo will be there. He's the best rider in the whole school." Amber sighed in bliss. This piqued Dawn's interest in the conversation, but her eyes remained on her book.

Soon, the race was finished and everyone cheered for the winner. "Oh, it would be so much fun to ride in the flying derby!" Sofia smiled wistfully.

"You should watch the flying derby practice at school tomorrow", Amber suggests. "Hm...Maybe I will." Sofia replied, lost in thought.

The next day, Dawn went to the Royal Prep stables with Amber, Hildegard, Clio, and Sofia. "You're still not done with that book?" Hildegard asks with slight disgust.

The girls stayed on one side of the stable while the boys stayed on the other. Dawn rolled her eyes. "No. It's a really interesting book. You should try reading it sometime." Amber then made eye contact with the dashing Prince Hugo.

He made eye contact with Amber and smiled when Amber pulled out her fan with a picture of him, but the second he saw Dawn...

He knew he had to introduce himself to her, "I know I've only heard rumors about her but her beauty doesn't compare...Wait what?" He blushed furiously. Usually, girls thought of him that way, not the other way around. It was new to him.

~Dawn's POV~

I heard footsteps coming toward me, but I didn't care as I got lost in the story and imagined myself having adventures like Peter Pan, and eventually finding love...WHAT?!

"Hi--Woah!"

I said Hugo would be introduced. I didn't say him and Dawn would interact ;) I just felt like ending it with something suspenseful XD thanks for reading!
