TWENTY-THREE

"I like you." Lucas plucked his whole courage to confess his feelings. He may act normal outside but he was totally exploding inside, a lot of sirens on his mind.

"Uhm, I think that's all. I have to—" Lucas was cut off when Jungwoo pulled his collar and attached his lips to Lucas. The taller guy did not even move, letting Jungwoo to kiss him.

"Let's go home. I'm tired." Jungwoo diverted the topic as he broke the kiss, and walked like nothing happened. Lucas was standing behind while Jungwoo was walking slowly away from him.

Jungwoo stopped and looked back at Lucas. "Yah! Can't you hear me? I said let's go home and I'm sleepy!" Jungwoo grumbled as he threw a scowl at the older man.

"What did you say again? I did not hear it." Jungwoo teased Lucas as they walked together on their way home.

"Nope. I won't repeat it again."

"Eh! I did not understand it! Make it clear." Jungwoo said, pouting his lips as he clings to Lucas' arm.

"Anyway, your lips taste like apricots." Lucas commented and Jungwoo suddenly heated up, his cheeks and ears. "You're a great kisser. I love your soft lips."

Koeun planned to go to Yiyang's home, and she knew that she was close to Mark along with Lucas. But they often talk and rarely meet in school. She saw Yiyang outside their house, playing volleyball with her family. Koeun watched them within a few seconds, before approaching the lady.

"Hi? You must be Xu Yiyang, right?" Everyone looked at Koeun.

"Yes. And may I know who you are?"

"I'm Ko Eunji, we have the same school though. But, I saw you with Minhyung and another one. I- I'm just curious and want to talk to you about him."

"Oh! You mean, Lee Minhyung? Yeah, we're friends but not too much. We used to get along with Lucas. But as of now, we were not communicating anymore. Why?"

"I- I'm just curious where he is right now. I haven't seen him at school for a month."

"I don't know though. I'm sorry." Yiyang tapped Koeun's shoulder. The younger girl smiled at her and thanked before leaving. Koeun went home devastated, she hadn't seen Mark Lee and wanted to meet him. While marching her feet going up, the door opened in a slam manner, it was Koeun's step-dad again.

Koeun panicked as she marched to her bedroom. The man chased her but Koeun successfully locked the door. His stepdad was yelling while banging his fists, Koeun was scared and her anxiety was attacking her again. She sits on the floor while holding her head and bursted into tears. The man continued to shout as his slam was getting louder.
