Chapter Nine - Shootout

Blackjack Jet and Tara made their way to the Blizzarian Camp where Oz and his gang were engaged in a shootout against the Blizzarians. 

Oz: All right, boys! Light this sucker up like a goddamn Christmas tree!

Suzy Lu led the defense as the Blizzarians fought against Oz and his gang. Oz and his gang proved to be tenacious in this shootout, but Suzy Lu refused to give up.

Billy Rex: These guys are giving us a hard time!

Suzy Lu: We'll beat them, Billy! Where the hell is Jet?!

As soon as Suzy Lu said that, Blackjack Jet and Tara appeared and began assisting Suzy Lu and the Blizzarians in the shootout. 

Billy Rex: Where the hell were you?!

Blackjack Jet: A little appreciation would be nice! 

Blackjack Jet fires on Oz's gang with his dual blaster pistols while Tara fires a blaster pistol. As the shootout occurs, Oz spots Blackjack Jet. 

Oz: Heh. Well I'll be goddamned! If it isn't Captain Blackjack Jet! Christmas come early boys! Let deal some unsettled business!

Oz then whistles to his gang as they continued to fire on the Blizzarians. At this point, Blackjack Jet and Suzy Lu ducked behind cover. 

Blackjack Jet: Looks like Oz is looking to clean house! 

Suzy Lu: So I've seen! You got a plan?!

Blackjack Jet peaks from behind cover and looks for Oz. He finds him leading his gang in the attack against the Blizzarians. As a blaster shot nearly misses him, Blackjack Jet ducks behind cover. 

Blackjack Jet: I got something cooked up! Keep me covered!

Suzy Lu: What the hell do you think you're doing?! 

Blackjack Jet: Something both daring and crazy! 

With a smile on his face, Blackjack Jet lunges out of cover and begins charging the battlefield. Oz and his gang were surprised by this odd display. 

Gang Member: What the hell is he doing?!

Oz: Shoot him! Shoot the furry son of a bitch!

Oz's gang continued to fire on Blackjack Jet, but the Blizzarian smuggler was able to dodge and weave the shots being thrown his way. Meanwhile, Tara along with Suzy Lu and the Blizzarians covered for him. 

Oz: Shit! This area is too hot! Time to bail out, boys!

Oz then orders his gang to retreat. Blackjack Jet follows them to a large cruiser. As Oz boards the cruiser, Blackjack Jet jumps on board and attempts to fire his pistol, but Oz kicks the pistol out of his hand. 

Oz: Oh I'm sorry, Captain. Were you about to use that?

Blackjack Jet: Oh don't worry, Oz. I don't need a pistol to kick your fucking ass!

Blackjack Jet and Oz engage in a fist fight as the cruiser takes off. Oz soon takes the upper hand and kicks Blackjack Jet off the cruiser. The Blizzarian smuggler hangs on the cruiser's docking door. Oz looks upon this with a smile on his face. 

Oz: It's been fun, Captain, but I got places to be. Those blasters aren't gonna sell themselves! 

Oz then kicks Blackjack Jet off the cruiser and the Blizzarian smuggler plummets to the ground. Tara runs to him to check on him. 

Tara: Captain!

Blackjack Jet gets up as if nothing happened. The Blizzarian shakes the snow off of him. 

Blackjack Jet: Perks of being a Blizzarian is insane durability. 

Tara: Did you get Oz? 

Blackjack Jet: No, but I managed to get a tracker placed on that cruiser before he kicked me off. Now we know where that son of a bitch is going!

As Blackjack Jet said that, the two were approached by Suzy Lu and Billy Rex. They seemed less hostile than before. 

Suzy Lu: I'm surprised you came back, Jet. I didn't think you would.

Blackjack Jet: What can I say, Suzy? I'm full of surprises. 

Suzy Lu: It took guts to come back here. You could've just left. Why?

Blackjack Jet: Like I said, I got unsettled business with Oz. There's no way in hell I'm about to let that opportunity pass. 

In that moment, Blackjack Jet slightly redeemed himself in the eyes of the Blizzarians. While they still held contempt for him, at least he came back to help them when they were faced with invasion. 

Blackjack Jet: I'd love to stick around and have some kind of party, but I still got some unsettled business to settle. But know this, you won't have to worry about Oz for much longer. You got my word for whatever it's worth. 

With that, Blackjack Jet and Tara boarded the Highway Star and left Terra Blizzaris. Suzy Lu couldn't help but smile as the Highway Star took off. Meanwhile, Tara was working on tracking the tracker left on Oz's cruiser. 

Tara: Got it! Tracker's moving, Captain!

Blackjack Jet: Good. Now we're gonna wait until that cruiser stops. 

Blackjack Jet and Tara waited until the tracker stopped moving. Once the cruiser stopped moving, Tara immediately began checking the coordinates.

Tara: Captain! I got the coordinates!

Blackjack Jet: Where at?

Tara: Just outside Terra Tropica!

Blackjack Jet: Of course that son of a bitch is hiding out in my vacation spot! I think it's time we paid ole Oz a visit!

In that moment, Blackjack Jet and Tara finally had the location of Oz. Now it was time for them to travel to Terra Tropica and take out Oz and reclaim Rasha's blasters. Blackjack Jet intended to get payback for Oz's betrayal as well as deliver the stolen blasters back to Rasha before his deadline.
