Chapter 4

    Maya looked at where the snakes and the guy left through. "I don't know..." Maya said, looking at Ray. "Ray, once we get back to the temple, I need to talk to you." Maya asked, quietly so the boys didn't hear. Ray nodded.

Maya and Ray walked to a room while the boys left to go deal with the other snakes. They could call Maya and Ray if they need help. "What do you need to talk about?" Ray asked. Maya looked at the window. She then looked back at Ray. "That guy.... Me and Cole were facing him.... But once he saw me... He froze and then they all retreated...." Maya said, softly. Ray looked confused, but then he realized what Maya was trying to say. "That might be him, but also that could be someone else." Ray said, trying not to raise their hopes up anymore. "But... What if it is him?" Maya asked, staring at Ray. "It might be, but we don't know that yet." Ray said. Maya sighed, she really wanted to see them, but from how the guy acted to seeing him, and even if that guy was her son, she didn't know how he was gonna feel about seeing his parents.

With The Ninja

Cole kicked a snake and watched it separate and then built itself back together. "Can these things stay separated for once?" Cole asked, frustrated that he had to fight the same snake 10 times now. "I know, like can they like, stop stealing metal?" Jay yelled while fighting a few snakes. Cole defeated a few snakes but like always, they built themselves back together. Cole sighed, he didn't know how to defeat them. As Cole was fighting, he didn't see the snake sneaking up behind him until it grabbed him and threw him to the ground. Cole landed on the ground with a thud and a grunt. He looked up and saw the snake coming at him with a sword. He barely stopped the attack by sliding out of the way. Cole got up and went to punch the snake, but there was a sword landing its place right in front of him before he could place his foot.

Cole looked at where the sword came from, seeing the guy that was there with the earlier attack. The guy ran towards him, grabbing his sword and went to punch Cole which was blocked by Cole. The two had a strong fight, neither one of them was giving up. After a few minutes, the guy knocked Cole to the ground and was about to drive his sword down, but Cole rolled away and got back up and punched the ground, causing the guy to be flown backwards in the air, landing down on the ground, sliding a few feet.

The guy stayed on the ground, taking off his mask/helmet thing. The guy had spiky, dark brown hair, tan skin, green eyes and a scar over his left eye. Cole would never admit this, but this guy was hot. "How did you like that landing?" Cole asked, looking at the guy who still didn't get up yet. The guy seemed to having trouble breathing since he fell straight back on his back, losing all the air in his lungs. "Strong.... But painful..." The guy said between breaths. Cole shrugged, "Takes practice... Where did you learn to fight?" Cole asked, looking around, keeping his guard up just in case. "Someone who is trying to stop you guys from destroying our plans. And... I've been training since I was young." The guy said, slowly getting up and regaining the attention of Cole, and got into a fighting pose. Cole looked at the guy. " What's your name?" Cole asked. He didn't know if he was gonna get an answer but it was worth a try." My name...?"

"Is Kai..."

With Maya and Ray

Maya leaned on the table thinking until the boys walked into the room. " How did the mission go?" Ray asked, looking at the boys. "Good, but we did get a beating. Also, Cole learned the name of that guy who was there with the snakes both times." Jay said, looking at Cole who looked like they were trying to remember something. Ray and Maya shared a look, and then they both turned to look back at Cole, noticing he had a bruise forming on his cheek. "Cole.. What was their name?" Maya asked Cole, who looked from the ground to Jay and then to Maya and Ray. "His name? It was Kai. He didn't tell me his last name though..." Cole said, but right when Maya and Ray both heard 'Kai', they tuned out everything else.
