Chapter 5

Kai looked at the ground. He couldn't believe who he saw, he couldn't believe that he was lied too. Kai looked up at the sky, leaning on the wall, hitting his head on the wall. Kai didn't know why or how his mother was still alive and working of the other team. Kai didn't understand anything at this moment. He didn't know if his whole life was a lie or he was just too stupid that he believe Krux's lies.

"I thought you said my parents were dead..." Kai said, glaring at Krux.
Krux stared at Kai. "I told you that your parents were dead.. I only said what I heard from the other side. I guess they lied to us... To you.." Krux said.
Kai looked at Krux, "but... Why.... Why would they lie about it?" Kai asked, his arms crossing over his chest.
"Because they are trying to ruin our plans on changing Ninjago to avenge what happened in the past. You know that... Your parents are lied to you two.. They are on the bad side..." Krux said, turning to walk away to where his brother is.

Kai sighed and got off the wall and walked to where his sister was. He didn't know if he should tell her about their mother.
Kai walked into the work room where his sister was. Nya turned around and saw Kai walking in.
"Oh hey Kai. You're finally back." Nya said, looking back at the blueprints.
"Hey...." Kai said, walking over to look at the papers. Nya could already tell something was wrong with her brother.
"What happened?" Nya asked.
Kai shrugged. "Nothing... Just too much stuff in my mind..." Kai mumbled, looking at the papers and then around the room.
Nya raised an eyebrow at him. "Kai... I knew you since i was born. I've been by your side since we moved with Krux. I can tell when you are lying or telling the truth. What's.. Wrong?" Nya asked, looking at Kai, resting a hand on her hip.
Kai rolled his eyes and sighed.
"I don't know if you want to know what happened today.... What i saw... Who i saw..." Kai said.
Nya looked at Kai.
"Well...It cant be that bad... Who is it?" Nya asked.
Kai looked at Nya, thinking whether he should tell or not.
Nya waited for Kai to talk. Kai sighed.
"I saw.... I saw Mom... And Dad... They were with those ninja who were with Wu....." Kai said, leaning on the table. He heard Nya gasp. Nya doesnt remember them that much but does remember when they left and what they looked like.
"You.... You saw them? I thought they were dead...." Nya said, looking at Kai.
Kai nodded and looked at Nya.
"But... Why are they fighting with the bad guys? I thought they were good...." Nya said, thinking.
"I don't.... Know... But I met one of the ninja... He doesn't seem bad..." Kai said. "Whats his name?" Nya asked.
"I think his name was Cole... I can't remember that much..." Kai said.
Nya nodded.
"Next time you go out..." Nya said, "Make sure to talk to him more.." Nya whispered making sure that no one could hear them.
Kai nodded.

Cole punched the bag, knocking it off the chain.
He couldn't stop thinking about Kai. What did he mean by we were trying to stop his plans.
Cole shook his head and grabbed the punching bag and put it back on the chain.
"You alright Cole?" Lloyd asked, seeing Cole.
Cole looked at Lloyd.
"Yeah... I'm alright... Just thinking about what Kai said earlier." Cole said, rubbing his forehead. He moved over to the wall and sat down, leaning up against it.
"Hm... Yeah... I guess Krux shoved it into their brains that Sensei is 'the bad guy'." Lloyd said, walking and sitting next to Cole.
Cole nodded.
"It must suck to have your whole childhood used for helping and working and training for a bad guy. But... I dont think both the siblings knew Krux was evil." Lloyd continued.
"I mean... That happened to you..." Cole said, looking at Lloyd.
Lloyd nodded.

A few minutes passed with silence, until Lloyd spoke.
"So uh... Do you think the guys cute?" Lloyd asked, smirking and looking at Cole.
Cole started blushing anf glared at Lloyd.
Lloyd, Jay, Zane, and Nya were the only one who knew that he was gay.
"Wha.... No... Lloyd!" Cole said, forgeting his words.
Lloyd laughed.
Cole huffed and crossed his arms ocer his chest, looking away.
"So... Is he?" Lloyd asked, finally calming down. Cole huffed.
"Okay... He was hot but i don't like him...." Cole said, staring off into the distance.
Lloyd raised an eyebrow.
"Are you sure? You're blushing~"Lloyd said, poking Cole's cheek.
He hit Lloyd's hand and huffed.
"Will you stop pestering me if I tell you?" Cole asked.
Lloyd nodded.
"Okay... Fine.. Maybe i do like him... I mean... His hot... But..." Cole said.
Lloyd smirked.
"But what?" Lloyd asked.
"I just met him... I dont even know his age or if he's even gay..." Cole said, hitting his head as he looked up.
Lloyd nodded.
"Well.... Once we see the snakes causing trouble and Kais there, you can talk to him." Lloyd said, getting up.
