"Alex? Are you at home?"

........
"AHHHHHH!"
"What the hell!"
"ALEX! ALEX ARE YOU OKAY?!"
I woke up from yelling.
It came from downstairs.
My moms voice.
I sat up a bit and looked over to Zach who opened his eyes slightly.
I heard footsteps running up the stairs.
I was still a bit sleepy so I couldn't really process anything yet.
Faster than I could think my mom was standing in my door with a look on her face as if someone just died and her skin as pale as a ghost.
She scared the shit out of me and Zach.
"Fuck! Mom?! What the hell?" I exclaimed while pulling the blanket a bit up.
"I could ask you the same thing Alexander Dean Standall!" my mother replied.
"Why are you two at home? And what in the holy hell is this?!" My mother asked while holding up the towel that was drenched with blood.
Zach looked at me with his mouth hung open.
"I- we, I can explain..
"I hope so and don't even think about lying to me."
I felt so uncomfortable. Zach and I were naked in my bed while my mom was yelling at me or I guess at us.
"Yes I can explain everything, but can we talk downstairs?" I asked in a calm tone.
"Well, okay. Come on then." she said
"Um...mom, we...we need to get dressed first." I said a bit embarrassed.
My mom looked at us confused until she realized what was going on.
"Oh. Of course. Yes, sure. 5 minutes. I'll be waiting in the living room and that explanation better be good." She said in a strict tone. Then she walked out the door closing it behind her.
I rolled my eyes and let myself sink back into the bed.
Zach pulled me on to his chest.
"Come on, that could've gone worse." he said with a cheeky smile on his face.
I hid my face in his chest
"So what? That was dreadful." I mumbled into him.
"Come on, we need to get dressed."
"Ugghhhh, why is she even home already."
Zach stood up first and I just stared at him because I forgot we didn't have ANY clothes on.
"What? Do you still get nervous seeing me naked?" He laughed.
I blushed and looked away.
"What? Really? Alex we literally just had sex like 2 hours ago."
"Leave me alone you jerk." I said.
"Awww Alex, you're so cute you know that. We gotta get you used to that. Or not. I actually find it quite charming." he mocked me.
"Fuck you." I calmly said.
"Aaaaallleeexxx." he whined, dragging every letter of my name in a long tone while wrapping his arms around me from behind. He took me into his embrace and kissed my cheek. A long and wet kiss.
"Oh my god." I said with sarcasm in my voice. Zach continued placing wet kisses all over my face.
"Okay, okay. Let me go donkey, my mom is already pissed at us." I laughed.
Zach let me go and said: "I don't think she is pissed, she is just concerned about you as always and your mom loves me."
"Well aren't you a lucky man." I joked and stood up.
Zach put his pants on and then walked over to me taking my hands into his.
"I am." he said and kissed me. It was a short kiss but with so much love and meaning behind it. He brushed a strained of hair out of my face and then continued searching for his T-shirt.
I started dressing up.
"You probably don't have a shirt that fits me?" he asked with a smile.
There was blood on his shirt.
"I mean, you can try but probably not, no." I laughed.
"Well, fuck it." he said.
We finished dressing up.
"You ready to explain this shit to my mother." I stated more than asking.
He nodded and took my hand.
I started walking and suddenly hissed at the pain.
"Fuck." I whispered.
"Shit, does it still hurt. Sorry man. Next time I'll be more gentle." he giggled.
"Very funny dickhead." I said.
We continued walking downstairs and I just tried to ignore the pain.
My mom was sitting on the big arm chair with a cup of tea in her hand.
"Took you long enough." she said as we walked into the living room.
Zach and I sat down on the sofa. Our hands still intertwined.
"Well. I'm waiting." my mom said impatiently. "Wait, Zach what happened to your nose?" she asked.
"It's not a big deal actually.." I started.
Zach cut me off.
"Mrs. Standall this is actually all my fault. I know that sounds cliche but it's the truth.
I was on my way to pick Alex up for school and I was so caught up in thoughts while driving that I almost drove into the car before me. I hit the brakes too fast and crashed against the steering wheel. I broke my nose. I was already late so I drove here and when Alex saw me he insisted on going to the hospital. I didn't want to because my mom would've heard about it and I didn't want her to worry about me too because my sister is still sick. Alex cleaned me up and that's why the towel is drenched with my blood, sorry about that by the way and well then..." I put my hand over Zach's mouth and finished his sentence: "Then we went to bed to get some rest."
My mom looked at us and then let out a big sigh.
"Jesus boys. You scared the living hell out of me. Zach we're gonna bring you to the hospital, now. A doctor needs to look at you. Don't worry I'm not going to tell your mother, you should do that yourself. Alex you should've called me. And next time, I hope for both of you that there will be no next time, at least don't leave the evidence around the house." she said that last part with a slight smile on her face while pointing at the empty condom packaging that was lying on the carpet in front of her feet.
My whole face was flushed.
Zach looked at me and then bursted out into laughter.
I slapped his arm and then I heared my mom snicker.
"What is wrong with you, both of you." I said annoyed.
"God Alex you need to calm down." Zach said and pulled me into his arms.
I pouted.
"Come on lovebirds, Zach needs a real doctor."
We stood up and Zach walked upstairs to get our phones.
I put on my shoes and Zach did the same when he came back.
My mom walked outside to start her car.
When she was out the door Zach grabbed my waist and whispered into my ear: "I preferred Dr. Sexy Standall." He kissed my neck and then walked out the door.
I had goosebumps all over my body.
"Jesus Alex." I sighed to myself.
What the fuck is he doing to me.
