Sorry for the delay, as some of you know, I live in Melbourne, Australia and we are back in lockdown so I had to sort quite a few things and now have a bit more time on my hands. Our numbers are nothing compared to some other countries here, but we play it safe so we can all be healthy soon.

S: ''Welcome.'' She put on her professional smile and pointed at the stairs up to the jet as Emre and Can walked by her; Aziz, behind, smiled at her.

A: ''good girl... good girl...'' She rolled her eyes after him and followed behind his steps. He sat next to Can and Emre went to the back.

She brought their drinks to the men without making eye contact.

A: ''lucky you today Sanem, just us three!''

She nodded and placed snacks in front of him.

S: ''will that be all Aziz Bey?''

A: ''sit!'' he pointed at the seat in front of him. Sanem stared at him for a second and then at Can who didn't react. She slowly sat down.

A: ''fasten your seatbelt, safety first.'' His voice was slow and gentle, which made it even more terrifying, Sanem couldn't shake the memory of his hand on her neck and his eyes filled with rage just an hour before. She buckled the seatbelt and sat as far as she could inside the armchair, as if she could disappear.

A: ''you know I have known your uncle a long time Sanem... I realised I even knew your father while chatting with Murat.''

Sanem somehow managed her shock and didn't react to what she knew was bait.

A: '' he was a nice man, Nihat, very gentle and very smart... you must miss him dearly.'' She didn't want to answer but was also scared to upset the man.

S: ''yes I do.''

The plane sped up and immediately took off and turned slightly to the right, aiming for Bucharest.

A: '' do you remember him? You were very young when he died.''

S: ''6 years old.''

A: ''so young indeed... Murat did a great job taking you in, he is a good man... a better father than he is a business man though...'' Aziz started laughing and Sanem had no idea what he meant, another question she would have to ask her uncle.

E: ''I need another glass!'' Emre was shouting from the bag, rude, as usual.

Sanem immediately undid her seatbelt and walked back to the galley. She closed the curtain and flattened her back against the cockpit door, breathing heavily while trying to calm down. She poured Emre's drink and brought it to him in the back. To her great relief, Aziz let her return to the galley, he was by now engrossed in a discussion with Can about whoever they were meeting in Romania. He sounded angry again, it seemed to be a regular occurrence. Sanem listened and understood they were basically planning some kind of a deal to ensure passage. What passage and of what, she had no idea but all kinds of dangerous and scary ideas were going through her head. As they approached Bucharest, she picked up the glasses; the plane started its landing manoeuvres and she was once again asked to sit in front of Aziz. This time he said nothing and just rested back and closed his eyes.

Sanem looked out the window for a moment and as her gaze returned inside the cabin, her eyes were caught by Cans'. He was staring at her from behind his sunglasses, his dark iris immobile onto her. Sanem lowered her own eyes but quickly felt obliged to look up again, he had remained impassive. She felt uncomfortable, annoyed, yet he wouldn't budge, looking like a blind man. She closed her eyes until the wheels touched the ground and promptly jumped out of the seat as soon as she was able to. The men left the plane, they were to return a few hours later and Sanem was left to wait and think. Tortured by her own thoughts, she took her laptop out and worked on her emails.
