C: ''Dad, Sanem and I have decided to get married.''

A: ''Good son, good... she is a beautiful woman, and strong... make her happy so she gives you sons...''

C: ''thank you dad.'' His father paused and spoke again.

A: ''Can... I'm happy for you... I know I wasn't the best father... and your mother's passing made things worse for your brother and you... I hope Sanem makes you happy son...''

C: ''she does, Dad, she does...''

A: ''your brother is calmer these days.''

C: ''don't tell him about Sanem please, I will... he feels threatened by her arrival.''

A: ''fine.''

They talked for a bit longer, Can was surprised his father was so appeased about him bringing someone within the family. He figured that aging was slowly soothing him.

Aziz hung up the phone and dialed another number.

A: ''I'm glad you picked up, I have good news, we will finally be able to increase our weekly loads [...] yes I have access to the private charters cargo hauls thanks to Can [...] the boy did well, with his girl part of the family, Murat won't be able to refuse us the extra space...''

His conversation went on for a while until Emre walked in sat in front of him, waiting for him to be available. Aziz didn't make him wait long and finalised his call.

A: ''Emre, you need to congratulate your brother, he is getting married to Sanem and we, my boy, are getting a new way to transport!''

Emre smiled sarcastically, ''I don't think so dad, I have some news about your new protegee...'' Emre placed his phone on the desk and pressed play to a recording.

Sanem was keeping her eyes shut to rest but she felt as if her thoughts were literally banging against the sides of her brain. Her soul felt crushed and she started breathing heavy, a panic attack slowly setting in. She had just told Can she was so happy to marry him, yet 2 hours prior, she had been selling him to federal agents; the two couldn't co-exist in her mind and she realised they wouldn't co-exist in her life either, it was just impossible. As much as she knew she could save him, that wasn't the way to go. Her body started shaking as she stood outside the bed, her chest tight and tears flowing down her cheeks. She knew he was still in the room next to hers, she could stop him, they could fly home tonight and stay away from those agents. She thoughts of words and sentences to tell him what had happened, she spoke to herself and corrected her choice of words. She mumbled  for several minutes while her heart slowly broke into tiny pieces as the thought of losing him became more and more inevitable.

Sanem opened the sliding door of the bedroom and saw Can stand by the office. Salim stood up, his eyes asking her what she wanted as her face was covered in tears and concern.

S: ''Can...'' he turned to her.

Mo: ''Can! It's your father on the phone...''
