Chapter 5 - I Will Find Her

Drew's POV

"I can't believe you would do such a thing," someone shouts furiously. 

I had just told my pack what had happened to Lena, and they definitely weren't pleased. My mom is  crying in the corner, while everyone else is shooting dirty glares at me. 

"I'm sorry," I say, wishing that I hadn't made such a grave mistake. I walk out of the building and into my room.

The instant I walk in, someone envelops me in a hug. I turn around to see who it is and find Galina, one of my good friends, giving me a sad smile filled with sympathy and understanding. Galina has to be one of the kindest and bravest girls I know, next to my mom. 

"Hey," she says.

"I'm, suprised that you're even talking to me after what I did the other day," I tell her.

"Well, what you did was pretty bad, but the pack is giving you a pretty hard time."

"How can I blame them? They're not the ones who allowed their little sister to get kidnapped by two vampires."

"Drew ..."

"Go ahead and hate me. I deserve it."

"Look, it's getting late, and I have to get going. I'll be in my room if you need me, okay? Stop blaming yourself for everything. It's not your fault. "

I wish. My mind searches around for someone else to blame, but I can't find anyone. This is nobody's fault but mine. I was careless, and now I'm paying the consequences. 

I can't do anything right anymore. I try to do something nice, and I end up just making matters worse. Let's face it. I'm a horrible alpha. How am I going to win this war against the vampires? I wish my dad was still alive. He was so brave and so strong. I'll never be like him. My sister is in danger, my mom is suffering from mild depression, and my entire pack is already losing faith in my ability to lead them to victory. What am I going to do?

That's it. I can't sit around all day watching my pack slowly lose the war. I can't let them pay for my mistakes. I have to find Lena. I have to face Charina's coven ... alone.

Hold on, Lena. I'm coming for you.
