Dereks phone dinged as he received several emails from Hotch.

"Reid, what did I miss?" He asked him as he noticed the boy genius at his desk.

"Oh, man, you're not gonna believe this. Some moron just posted a blog called 'What would Carl Sagan do?'" He replied as he scrolled through his phone.

"No, Reid, the case. What's the case?"

"What are you talking about?" He looked up from his phone in confusion. He wasn't aware of any new cases.

"These emails from Hotch." Morgan replied as he started reading out the subjects of the emails. "'Take a look at this,' 'New case to review.'"

"Emails from Hotch?" Spencer sat up and went to check his inbox. "I didn't get any emails from Hotch, did I?" All that came up was some previous emails. "Nothing."

Derek left him and walked to Hotch's office. He knocked on the door and waited.

"Come in." He heard Hotch say from the other side of the door.

He walked in and stood in front of his boss, who was currently busy writing down something.

He lifted his head up to look at Morgan. "Did you, uh, get a chance to look at the files?"

"I just got them. What's so important you couldn't send it to the rest of the team?" He asked suspiciously.

"I just needed a second pair of eyes."

"I'll review it right now." He said as he checked his phone again. "Just give me an hour."

"That's not necessary." Hotch stated, he was about to carry on when Prentiss knocked on his office door

"We're ready." She announced.

They nodded and Morgan waited for Hotch as he quickly neatened his desk.

"Hey, how'd the case sorting go last night?" Rossi asked her as he walked into the conference room and took a seat at the round table.

Olivia had gotten in a little earlier today to do some work and prepare for the presentation.

That must've been the story Emily told them. "It went well. There were some interesting cases but this one was urgent." She said as she gestured to the file he had picked up.

The team finally made it to the round table with Hotch and Morgan walking in last. Olivia stood up and started presenting.

"Kristie Taylor, runaway, drug addict, reported missing from Farmington, New Mexico 3 years ago." She started as the pictures popped up on the screen. "Yesterday, she turned up off a freeway outside of Rio Rancho. Sexual assault combined with ligature marks on her wrists and ankles. She was asphyxiated." She watched as the pictures floated across the screen behind her.
