Dear Diary,
Today, I made three new friends.
Well, actually, I've been talking to them online for a couple of weeks now. And by them, I mean Ruel, Juni, and Vance. Pero first time naming apat na magsama-sama.
I met Ruel through a tiny accident — lost my ID and he happened to have found it. Buti na lang! Ang hassle pa naman daw magpa-replacement sa Eisner. Anyway... Ruel, he's nice. And handsome. Turns out, he's a campus heartthrob. Of all the people who could've found my ID!
Ruel's best friend, Juni, needs to come up with a music vid of her own direction, for their midterms. She's a Multimedia Arts student. Ayon, Ruel asked if I could star with him in the MV. Pumayag naman ako, para quits na kami sa pagbabalik niya ng ID ko. :)
Juni's boyfriend, Vance, is Ruel's cousin naman. Ang cute ng setup nilang tatlo! Laging ipit si Vance, who is rather quiet in person, sa pagitan ng makulit niyang girlfriend at ng pinsan niyang medyo makulit din. Tulad kanina, noong nag-meet kaming apat para mag-brainstorm para sa music vid, Juni and Ruel spent half the time bickering, while Vance and I exchanged amused and exasperated looks.
Thank God, though, 'cause we eventually managed to come up with solid ideas for Juni's video. So, for the rest of the afternoon, gumala na lang kaming apat. It feels good, having a group of friends to hang out with again. Especially after everything that happened sa dati kong pinapasukan.
Not that I'm totally alone while in school — I believe I already mentioned Lili here. She's nice enough to befriend me, pero siyempre, may sarili na rin siyang friends bago pa man ako mag-transfer sa Eisner. Sinasama naman nila ako lagi, pero alam mo 'yon? Ramdam ko pa rin na outsider ako. Most of the time, kay Lili lang talaga ako dumidikit. Her friends are more like just acquaintances to me.
It's different with Ruel and his friends, though. Unang beses pa lang naming nagkasama-sama, pero ramdam ko nang belong ako sa kanila. Juni's hugs, Vance's high-fives, and Ruel's smiles... They all felt genuine and unforced. Siguro, ganoon lang talaga — may mga tao na mas madali mong makagaanan ng loob.
At any rate, I'm happy that I lost my ID on that day, and it was found by Ruel van Acker. It came back with three friends. :)
