When he gets home, he almost lets his son fall because Techno is sprawled out on his sofa, watching some kind of bl-drama.

His best friend has a key for his apartment in case he ever picks Panit up from nursery school or if there is an emergency. The key isn't meant for just showing up.

"God, Tech, I nearly dropped my son" he hissed under his breath, as he put down the groceries, gently waking him up.

"I thought I'd help you a bit this weekend. You seemed pretty dead last week" Techno shrugs. "C'mon, I'll play with Panit, while you cook."

"You just want me to look over your essay" Gulf squints his eyes at him.

Grinning innocently, Techno greets Panit and Gulf has time to cook without having to watch his son.

Truthfully, he doesn't mind proofreading Techno's essay and he knows that his friend would have come, even if he didn't have his essay that he wants to have looked over. He adores Panit almost as much as Gulf does.

Once they finish dinner, Gulf puts Panit to sleep, reading him his favourite story and as always, he falls asleep halfway through. Kissing him on the forehead, Gulf tugs him in properly and closes the door of his room quietly. Of course, Techno is already lounging on the sofa with two bottles of soda and two beers on the coffee table.

Gulf snorts but prepares the shots and beer anyways, touching glass with his best friend before taking a generous gulp of the beverage. Exhaling slowly, he leans back into the sofa, closing his eyes. Winding down like this is the most relaxing part of the day and he's suddenly really glad that Techno decided to visit him.

"So today happened the craziest thing, I kid you not" Gulf starts, once the alcohol settles into his veins. "I have Professor Suppasit's private phone number."

"Bitch you don't" the elder snickers.

"Hell yeah I do. I met him on the playground today. He was there with his daughter."

"You're kidding me––"

"I'm not, so now listen" Gulf says eagerly.

"So I'm there with my hoodie hiding my face and all, watching Panit play with this little girl that's a little older than him and she pretends to be the prince that saves the princess and then calls for her dad for approval. None other than Professor Mew Suppasit answers and I swear, my eyes almost fell out of my head. It's like the universe wants me to see him everywhere."

"Then what? How do you go from that to getting the number of our hottest teacher?"

"I go up to him and we start talking, yeah? I don't know, it was awkward for a bit but he was really sweet, when he found out Panit's mine? Like there wasn't any judgement, even though I told him that I didn't plan to have him. I just felt safe talking about all kinds of parent things with him."

"We ended up having lunch together too and then just let our kids play in that restaurant and kept talking. It was him that offered his phone number too, like I didn't even ask. I'm so confused, like–––– it lowkey felt like a single dad date but it obviously wasn't. I kept blushing, Tech, I'm so embarrassed. He's so good-looking, I kept staring at him."

"I can't believe this actually happened. I can't believe he has a daughter? I mean, he's married but––"

"Was married" Gulf corrects. "But if you tell anyone this, I may have to kill you because he told me in confidence. He only still wears the ring to keep thirsty students at bay."

"How ironic because you're one of those thirsty students" Techno cackles.

"Shut up" Gulf pouts, as he empties his second glass of beer. "Okay, fine, yes but who isn't, though?"

"Apparently he's thirsty for you too. He gave you his number" the elder wiggles with his brows."

"Look, our kids became friends today. He gave me his number because of that. I don't even know if he's into guys" Gulf argues.

"Find out, then" his friend dares him.

"No."

"You want to, though."

"Yes, of course, I want to! I wouldn't mind him pounding me into a mattress, thank you very much, but you can't always have what you want" Gulf sighs desperately.

"Wow, okay, didn't know you had such a specific plan on what he should do to you" Techno laughs.

"Look, just go with the flow. He might surprise you."

Grumbling something incoherent, Gulf just shuts up eventually. Techno's not wrong. He could just wait, until Mew makes a move and honestly, that's the only option that's possible because he can't just start flirting with his professor.

He's bad at flirting to begin with but Mew makes him flustered with only his gaze, so there's no way Gulf could actually approach him about it.

the tension btw Mew and Gulf is real, both off and on screen lol ;)
