IV. MEETING THE PECULIARS
"Mommy!" My daughter raise both of her eyebrows as a sign of anger. "That one-eyed was so mean to you! Why did he sakal you?," she sulked.
Oh this kid.
He's really upset knowing that Sycharias tried to kill me.
I took a glance on the small clock placed on my bed side table. "Sweetheart, it's already 9:30 in the evening, you should sleep already." I instructed which made her more upset. "But mom, I still wanna hear your story," she mumbled and pouted.
I patted her head to make her feel better. "U can continue it tomorrow Sharika. Mom doesn't have work tomorrow right?"
Her eyes glimmered with bliss and clapped her hand. "Oh I forgot! It's Saturday tomorrow!," she exclaimed and made my lips curved upward.
As I prepared my bed, I noticed that my daughter was fidgeting on the corner of the closed door.
"What's the matter honey?" I asked as I tucked the bedsheet properly.
"Uhm. Can I s-sleep here mommy?," she asked and twiddled her fingers to her lap.
I shook my head and asked her to come on the already cleaned and prepared bed. "Of course you can baby. I thought there's something that's bothering you again." I replied and we both laid in cozy bed and wrapped my daughter with cuddles.
"I love you mommy," she mumbled and kissed my cheeks. I brushed her hair with my finger and kiss her on her forehead. "I love you too honey. Good night."
"Please just let me go back to where I really belong." I cried kneeling in front of him and even hold his hands.
He removed my grip from him and turned his gaze in the dreary woods behind me. "But this is where you belong now," he answered putting a stress to each word. "You can't leave this place," he added and started to went back to the mansion made with stone.
I was left with great angst in my heart as an idea of just staying here for the rest of my life popped inside my head.
"I want to go back! I-I shouldn't be here in the f-first place." I screamed in between of my sobs hoping that he would look back and let me go in this place.
"Mommy! W-Wake up please."
I was pulled out from a nightmare when I felt that my daughter was shaking my shoulders and wailing beside me.
"Shh. Baby, W-What happened? Mommy's here." I hushed though my heart was still beating fast because of what I dreamt.
She buried her face on my chest as I rose from the bed and sat beside her. "Y-You're crying on your sleep m-mommy," she mumbled.
"N-No baby. Mommy's fine." I uttered and comforted my daughter.
Why did that scene came back to me?
It's been years since I had a dream like that. I hope that was just a mere dream of mine and there's no meaning behind that.
"Mommy. I wanna hear the story now." Sharika demanded.
She put down her coloring pencils on the table and stared at me.
"You're enjoying my story ha." I said and prodded her tummy.
She giggled. "Yes mommy because those were all true," she replied and placed her arms on my lap and lifted her head to fixed her glimmering eyes on mine.
She's ready with my life story.
---"She didn't killed Eric, Sych." Angelica uttered in her placid disposition.
