After telling the housekeeper, who was fine with it, that I was staying over at the Hideout, I went to my room and got my emergency duffle. It was filled with essentials such as an automatic switchblade my dad gave me for my birthday when he was going to be home less often, matches, water, a small variety of snacks, an extra cell, and a couple more things.

I wish could say that it was filled with battle-ready equipment but alas it wasn't. I wasn't some rich kid in a book. If I was, I laugh at the author and ask why I wasn't more prepared.

In a backpack, I stuffed extra clothes until it was full because who knows how long we were going to be gone.

Once I was done, I boarded my skateboard and went on my way back to the Neverland Hideout. I was the last one to arrive and when I did, the girl looked up at me. After I shut the door, she launched into an explanation.

"So, we have to wait for nightfall because you actually have to see the star to be able to find it. Also, the only way to see it is to be "invited" to it or you have to be a resident in Neverland." She looked over at us once she was done as she had been looking outside at where, I guessing, the star for Neverland was.

Nathan asked a question. "What are the other differences between the story and the real thing?"

Pan paused. "Well, for starters, I'm a girl and obviously not Peter Pan."

We nodded as we had already figured that out.

She continued, "The red hair is right and I can fly but I have a pixie, not a fairy."

Right then, Jax asked very carelessly, "What's the difference?"

Nat hit him in the back of his head with her hand. Not very hard but hard enough to make it hurt. "There's a big difference, you idiot!"

He rubbed his head. "Ow. God, you hit hard!"

"It wasn't that hard."

I silently thanked Nat for doing so because if she hadn't, I would've. And it probably would've been harder.

It wasn't very nice to say that pixies and fairies were similar, or worse, the same creature.

An emotion quickly flew across Pan's face. Annoyance? Anger? Could have been either or something totally different.

She quickly explained the difference. "Fairies are also known as the fae folk. They obsess over beauty and are only friends with those who meet their standards of prettiness." She paused to take a breath. "They can be pretty self-absorbed. Pixies, on the other hand, are friendly, sometimes mischievous, not self-absorbed, and great scouts and fliers." At the end of her little speech, she whistled loudly, using two of her fingers.

A light came down to land on Pan's shoulder. When it stopped, you were able to see that the light was a pixie. She was actually quite cute.

"Her name is Isabelle but, like me, she prefers her nickname which is Belle," Pan explained, gently patting her on the head with her pointer finger.

Belle tittered and flew around the group in obvious delight.

Pan grinned, watching her. "She's really excited to meet you all." She explained.

Once Belle landed back on Pan's shoulder, Nat asked her if there was anything else.

Pan thought for a couple of minutes and the nodded. "Yeah. So, in the Peter Pan story, there's this Captain Hook character, right?" She asked, not really asking the question. She continued, "He's not a thing," She said flatly. "However, there is a Captain, only she isn't a bad guy. And she's my best friend." She grinned and chuckled a bit.
